It’s Christmas Eve Eve, not sure whether that’s a thing or not but it’s a good excuse to open the booze, have a mince pie and celebrate, only two sleeps now, the little kids all over the world will be getting excited, waiting for Santa. I must admit I miss have children around especially at Christmas our grandchildren are grown up now, two are adults and the other two are 17 and 14 so not kids anymore. Right I’d better have a go at the word games, have a good day everyone.

I don’t know what match he watched but it certainly wasn’t a terrible game, I thought it was a good game, attack against defence. Walsall defended solidly while Notts couldn’t quite get that final bit of magic to produce a goal in spite of almost constant pressure, it was an entertaining game in my opinion.

Yes I found that interesting @Robbie im not sure how that works really, if say Jatta goes and they bring Traore into the attack and buy a good midfielder who can create chances it doesn’t necessarily follow that Traore will instantly turn into a 20 goal a season striker. I hope we manage to keep Jatta and Dennis but if we do lose one or both we need a like for like replacement surely?

@Robbie I’m not sure they do have legitimate grounds, it’s not as if it was the end of the game, as I understand it it was injury time in the first half, so they had the whole of the second half to win the game, Clough is a professional moaner when they lose. I wonder if MP would be the same, he might complain but to demand the match is replayed is ridiculous, I’d be very surprised if they replay it. In my opinion it’s a smokescreen to hide the fact they’ve slipped into the relegation zone and take the heat off him.

Nigel Clough always moans about the referees performance practically every match so no change there then. It’d be more newsworthy if he didn’t.

Good morning, it’s a dry start so far and fairly mild. I’m a bit bleary eyed this morning after we were both awake in the early hours for no discernible reason and then awake early this morning, so I might need to grab a few zzz’s later. All our shopping is done thank god for online shopping, our Daughter in Law is buying all the fresh stuff at the supermarket on Christmas Eve, rather her than me. Mrs. T will be baking today and we need to withdraw some cash for the grandkids, apart from that nothing else happening. I hope everyone has a good day.

I think everyone will look forward to that @Robbie I’m not a cold weather person at all. I look forward to the warm sunny days of Spring and Summer.

We absolutely battered the team at the top, we were by far the best team, the only thing missing was a goal. It was a great performance considering we have first team players missing e.g. Palmer, Robertson, Hall, Luker, it just goes to show what a great squad we have, a few tweaks to the squad in January and this could be our year.

My man of the match kept changing throughout the game, to be honest it could have gone to any one of a number of players, Iorpenda, Norburn, Grant, and Platt all played well but I though although he didn’t score Dennis was excellent he absolutely run himself into the ground so my vote goes to him.
