Morning all, I’ve taken the dressing off my leg and it looks ok, just need the stitches to dissolve, meanwhile they suggest a thin layer of Vaseline to cover it, twice daily. In other news as a treat for being a brave soldier Mrs T is treating me to a pint in the pub and fish and chips at the chippy for lunch, it doesn’t get better than that. 😁

Thanks for the good wishes folks, I’m back home now the procedure was fairly painless, the worse thing was the needles to numb my leg, when the took a chunk of flesh out I didn’t feel anything. I’ve got to rest for a couple of days with my leg elevated then I can take the dressing off and the stitches should have dissolved. It’ll probably hurt a bit when the anaesthetic wears off, paracetamol at the ready.

Good morning, it’s a new day, a new week and a new month. It’s a miserable start to the day weather wise. Today I’m off to the QMC to have a chunk cut out of my leg to check for skin cancer, I’m not looking forward to it but it’s necessary I guess. In other news Mrs. T is laid up with a bad back, she was bending down to fill the dishwasher when something went, possibly a trapped nerve or pulled muscle but very painful, so yours truly will be doing all that needs doing today while she recovers.
