Morning all, we battled our way through the Yorkshire snow and arrived safely, we stopped off at Beverley for some lunch then carried on to our cottage which is in Flamborough near Bridlington. You can tell there has been heavy snow but the roads weren’t too bad at all. The cottage is lovely and comfortable with views over farmland towards the sea, we are looking forward to a nice relaxing week. I hope Notts win the match today if you’re going give them a cheer for me. YOUPIES!

@super_ram thanks mate, it’ll be a week of celebrations for Mrs. T’s 70th if we actually get there through the snow, I was watching the news and it looks pretty bad up there. We’ve got wifi so I’ll be able to get on here, so I’ll let you know.

Just had a call from the owner of the cottage we are staying in and they have had quite heavy snow the schools are closing but the roads are clear at the moment, she says we can get there earlier than the 4pm check in so we aren’t travelling in the dark. She sounds really nice. Hopefully the weather is improving and the snow will be gone.

Guess who’s going to Yorkshire tomorrow for a week! I don’t mind snow when we’re there but not to drive in while we travel there.

Morning all, -1.2 overnight so a frosty start here. We had a lovely Indian meal last night with our family, we went on the bus so we could have a drink, our son drove with his family as he wasn’t drinking, when he drove back there was an accident which had closed the road and he quickly realised that we’d be stuck in traffic on our bus, so he sent us a message while we were waiting for the bus to go back in the restaurant and he would come back for us as he knew a back route so he dropped the family off at home and came back to fetch us. Bless him.

Good morning, it’s a cold damp start the temperature went down to 2.5 last night which is a bit warmer than last night. The carpet we had put down during the summer is k eeping us a bit warmer than last year, it’s a very thick pile with a high tog rating. Tonight we are going to a posh Indian restaurant which has rave reviews with our family to celebrate Mrs. T’s significant birthday which is on Friday, we can’t go Friday with the family because the two of us are going away for a week in a cosy cottage in Yorkshire to have a week of birthday celebrations.
