  1. Yes that would be my destination in a Time Machine, 19th April 1994, I’d stand behind Mick Walker in the dugout and shout to him to sub Dijkstra for Johnson before he could head into his own goal over Cherry’s head, making the result 1-1 when we were comfortable with seconds left in the game. The result saw Derby get in the playoffs instead of us. If we’d got in the playoffs who knows what might of happened F*rest were promoted automatically we could have joined them in the top tier.
  2. We’ll probably get Macca back when he’s 36 and ready for the knackers yard.
  3. I can remember Tony Hackworth but I can’t for the life of me remember Antwoine Hackford.
  4. Welcome @Chedozie its great to have you onboard.
  5. Strands #514 “You've got that right” 🟡🔵🔵🔵 🔵🔵🔵 The title of the puzzle is the same as yesterday but it doesn’t seem to relate to the answers, I reckon they forgot to change it, so in fact they got it wrong. 😂

  9. Good morning, for the last two mornings I have woke up stone deaf because of ear wax and I mean totally deaf, it’s awful the sense of isolation, thankfully during the day one ear partially unblocks and gives me a little hearing back. The last time this happened I was referred to the hospital to have them cleaned out so I’ve contacted the doctor to ask for another referral, I’m waiting to hear back. I was told at the hospital last time not to go to Specsavers or Boots etc., to have it done as I have a very narrow ear canal, I hope the referral doesn’t take too long. @Chris things sound exciting for PoN come on give us a little teaser. 😂
  10. Blimey two signings in a day, hopefully this will shut up some of the moaners. Lots of options for MP now we need a striker. ⚽️ 🥅
  11. By all accounts he played really well during his trial period so I hope he carries on in that vein and it could be a very good signing.
  12. Adam will be commentating full time alongside Stall this season, Dave Bracegirdle is doing Mansfield. It’s great to see a Notts fan doing commentary good luck Adam.

  17. I think the club are trying to be sustainable in the best possible way they can. Spending beyond our means for players demanding top wages doesn’t always work and could land us in trouble as has happened in the past. I do agree that more could be done by communicating with the supporters more than they do at present.
  18. Well I think a lot of @Wheelbarrow repair man posts are complaining but that’s fine he has a right to his opinion, I respect that, I’m just putting the other side of the argument. To answer the question on the title of this discussion “Where has all the money gone”, some of it has gone on improvements as I mentioned before, training pitch, the nest, safe standing etc., some may be spent on players later, some may have gone into the back pocket of the owners who knows but it’s their money, they are ploughing it into the club so they can spend as they think fit and hopefully they are doing what they think is best for the club.
  19. My argument is that we don’t know whether they’ve got the balance right probably until the end of the season so I personally wouldn’t be complaining and saying the owners haven’t got ambition.
  20. @Wheelbarrow repair man you mention you didn’t want to go and watch us get outclassed or walloped 3 or 4 nil, I don’t remember that happening very often if at all last season. I’d rather have a more positive outlook and think that in the long run things like the new training pitch, the Nest, safe standing etc., will benefit the club. Last season wasn’t a disaster, we didn’t get promoted but we had a good season otherwise and this season we may progress again, we have a new manager, new players, exciting things happening off the pitch let’s look on the bright side and see where the season takes us. There’s too much negativity and the season hasn’t even started.
  21. The season hasn’t started yet, we aren’t getting outclassed or walloped 3 or 4 nil so I don’t understand your argument. It’s a balancing act of spending on infrastructure to benefit the club on one hand and buying players to enhance the team, unfortunately we probably don’t have money to do both so with respect I think you could save your analysis until the season has got underway and we’ve played at least a few games.
  22. You must have eaten too much of @CutiePie ’s birthday cake, it’s addled your brain.
  23. I’ve watched three of Englands ladies team games during this competition and I have to say I’ve been very impressed with not only the football but the sporting manner it is played in the most part, the matches have been exciting with good attacking football. Well done all teams involved but especially the Lionesses of course.
