I thought it might be good to start up MAGnet Links topic again for the new season. The idea is every home match we try to think of as many players, managers, coaches etc., past or present that have been involved with both clubs at one time or another. So come on join in the fun, get your thinking caps on, I’ll start you off with Jorge Grant, he is currently in the Salford squad and played for us on loan from Fo*est during 2017-2018. Who can think of some more?

I agree he seems very knowledgeable and I think this interview was a good idea to show fans what he’s like, how he thinks etc., it’s a bit of a moral booster, it certainly gave me hope for the future. I’d like to see an interview with Dr. David Rhodes to talk about his role within the club.

We had free electricity this afternoon between 2 and 3 pm thanks to Octopus energy, so we filled the washer and dishwasher, jacket potatoes in the oven and I mowed the lawn, I wanted to put the fan heater on but Mrs. T said that was silly in the middle of summer. 😂

I don’t think MP had much to do with the recruitment of players that’s the recruitment teams job, MP just works with what he’s given, he may have some input on the type of player but not the individuals. We may need to be patient while the team gels, you can’t just throw lots of new players into a squad and expect them to work together efficiently quickly, that takes time to learn how each others minds work and anticipate what they will do, I just hope that if things get off to a slow start the fans don’t start to get on their backs.

Welcome to Notts County Tyrese, I hope he’s as successful as George Abbot was.

On paper this sounds like an exciting signing of a player who has a great future ahead of him, I wish him well. Like others I think we seem to have a surplus of midfielders now so I hope we concentrate on bringing in a striker before the deadline, although hopefully there might be a few goals coming from midfield this season.
