Neal Ardley comments on Notts County's precedent in sacking managers

Notts needs to stop sacking managers and actually work towards overcoming the issues, once Meadow Lane becomes toxic that's it but smarter appointments is needed.

Harry Kewell failed because he got ahead of himself after winning three games in a row.

Neal Ardley needs to avoid thinking he can throw anyone wherever he feels, play players in form and in their strongest position. I hope he can be here for many years.

I think the time has now come to give a manager a chance with out the fear of being sacked. By doing that it makes future managers think I’m ok thankyou is it worth moving my family for a short reign. Neal Ardley I think hit the nail on the head about past managers. 

he needs to focus game by game but have a monthly projection of how many points he wants, targets can be a good thing but he needs to understand how to take the pressure off himself.

i hope he has netflix for house of card episodes. lol

For me, this could be the appointment that gets us on the right road. Alan thought he had cracked it with Nolan and to be fair he had until recruitment was needed. He then put his faith in his judgment of Kewell which again looked like it was going to pay off after 5 games unbeaten; sadly that also turned sour very quickly.

Now, he has realised that an experienced head is the way forward and I totally get what he was and is trying to achieve. I’ve said many times that we all have perfect 20/20 hindsight and with this appointment I feel he has got it spot on.

good luck to Neal and let’s all be positive and give the boy our full support, even if he can’t revive this old creaking shambles of a club, I am sure it won’t be for the want of doing his absolute best.

I hope he can become a more long term manager, its not good to keep sacking managers like Notts do. But, having said that, i did say after the Oldham game, that Kewell had to go. COYP

Thats one way to put it, Notts have taken on too many managers that didn't have enough experience and thats been the main problem. Obviously money is tight but all the fees that come with hiring and sacking isn't going to help either. I hope he manages to make the best of the players and gets us past relegation,

I don't think he has anything to worry about. We've been crying out for a manager like Ardley for years. Even if we were to go down I think he would stay and have a project here with Notts. Hardy staying off social media is finally bringing hope and promise. His remarks on twitter made me feel down about every situation he tweeted about. Now he's finally concentrated on the club everyone can now move forward with Ardley at the helm.
