The Millers left Meadow Lane having fully deserved their victory, which instils a bitter taste in the mouths of many. The game as such was lively, especially in the second half which saw Notts try to attempt to fight back, unfortunately it was far too late. Saturday is now a chance for the team to put this and the previous home results to bed, concentrating on the promotion fight ahead. Despite the performance, the focus now will be very much on the league. All three goals came inUpdated by PON_News

On a warm April's day, Notts County fans were treated with an impressive display by the Magpies players, who defeated top of the table Doncaster 1-0 away at the Keepmoat Stadium in an exciting, edge of your seat clash. Buoyed by an impressive home win against Colchester the previous week, Chris Kiwomya once again selected a mix of established first teamers and youth players. Surprisingly, Krystian Pearce was picked in the starting eleven, the 23yr old not having started since March 2012.Updated by PON_News

Notts County found themselves under the cosh on many occasions and suffered at the hands of some contentious refereeing, but still managed to secure a decent point away at Doncaster Rovers this afternoon. The hosts began with plenty of drive, but goalkeeper Roy Carroll largely remained untroubled with Haydn Hollis pulling off some smart tackles in the early stages. Notts then nearly opened the scoring when Alan Smith smashed a 25-yard drivUpdated by cheeky~k8

Notts County have made it through to the semi-finals of the Johnston's Paint Trophy after a narrow 1-0 win against Doncaster Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium this evening. Liam Noble was the matchwinner for the visitors, powering through the home side's defence lines before drilling a low shot beyond goalkeeper Sam Johnstone late on in the game. Conditions were far from ideal at the Keepmoat Stadium, with strong winds not helping pUpdated by cheeky~k8

One step forward, two steps back. Notts County’s exhilarating win against Newport last week and a decent away point at Wycombe in midweek were quickly forgotten as the Magpies were picked apart by Carlisle United at stand-in ground Deepdale, home of Preston North End, in a 3-0 defeat. The disappointment began early for the black and white faithful as, just five minutes in, Jason Kennedy was upended by Graham Burke in the box to gift the designated hosts a penalty,Added by Joe Jones

Notts County fell to their second defeat in the space of five days - and their 10th in 14 games - after succumbing 2-1 at the hands of Fleetwood this afternoon. The Magpies had a bright start to the game, opening the scoring after 11 minutes when Mike Edwards's knockdown fell to Garry Thompson, who let rip with a thundering strike that soared into the top corner. Notts County started well, and they finished well, but the middle bit left a lot to be desired as they slipped to another defeat, this time away to Gillingham. 2-1 was the final score after Chris Whelpdale and Danny Kedwell netted two goals in the space of five first-half minutes, strikes that shouldn't have gone in. Wonderkid Callum McGregor's strike in the second half, fantastic as it was, proved nothing more than a consolation. Chris Kiwomya began the game in a 4-3-2-1 formation, YoannUpdated by Chris

It pains me to say this folks, but Notts County have been relegated from League One. Despite a decent enough start to our season that saw us in the playoff places, it's been a freefall towards the bottom of the table, culminating in a 3-1 defeat away at Gillingham that sees us end the season in 21st place. The Magpies began matchday 46 outside of the relegation zone on goal difference, so a win would see them survive the drop. Ricardo MoniUpdated by cheeky~k8

Notts County have come from behind to make it 1-1 against Exeter City at the halfway point of Saturday’s League Two game at Meadow Lane. The Grecians took the lead after just seven minutes when a cross was floated expertly into the path of Jayden Stockley, who nodded past Scott Loach to make it 1-0. Groans came from the Notts faithful as it appeared to be more of the same, but the Magpies worked their way back into the game as Liam Noble cUpdated by Joe Jones

Northampton Town and Notts County are playing out a 1-1 draw in Saturday’s League Two clash at Sixfields. The hosts were first to threaten as Ricky Holmes' cross found Richards before the loose ball was struck towards goal, but Loach was able to make the save. Mark Cooper’s side enjoyed the odd foray into the Cobblers’ final third but the home team was on top in the opening stages, Adams coming close on the quarter-hour mark. The first half of the League Two game between Notts County and Bristol Rovers has finished with the visitors 1-0 ahead. Just one minute of the Meadow Lane clash had elapsed when Gas man Liam Lawrence suffered an injury and had to be replaced by former Magpies loanee Cristian Montano. The first concrete chance of the game fell to Jason Banton, who cut inside onto his right foot and curled a shot just past the far post.Updated by Joe Jones

Notts County have taken a 1-0 lead in Saturday's League Two clash against Newport County at Rodney Parade, thanks to Genaro Snijders's goal five minutes before the break. The Magpies survived an early scare when a scramble in their box caused panic before Alan Smith was able to clear, and moments later Dean Morgan fired wide with an open goal at his disposal. Tommy O'Sullivan was next to threaten for the Exiles as he blasted just wide of goal 12 minutes in, but on the quarter-hour markUpdated by Joe Jones

It is goalless between Luton Town and Notts County at the halfway point of Saturday’s League Two clash at Kenilworth Road. The Magpies began the half brightly and piled on the pressure onto their opponents with a succession of set pieces. On the whole, the first quarter of an hour or so proved relatively scrappy, before the Hatters upped their game and forced a number of corners, though Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu volleyed over the bar in the 18tAdded by Joe Jones

Tuesday's League Two clash between Notts County and Hartlepool United at Meadow Lane is goalless at the break. The visitors won an early corner, which came to nothing, and before long Mark Cooper’s side got into the game and threatened through Jon Stead, whose early header at the back post was blocked before it could get to Izale McLeod, plus several efforts from Liam Noble. Notts were solid at the back too, with Mike Edwards and Thierry Audel playing steadily and making sure severalAdded by Joe Jones

It is goalless at half time in the League Two clash between Plymouth Argyle and Notts County at Home Park. The first foray of the game fell to Argyle, as Craig Tanner headed straight at Roy Carroll in the opening minute of the match. Jamie Fullarton’s charges then countered through Jason Banton and Blair Adams down the left wing and made some headway in the opposition half. Notts County have taken a barnstorming 2-0 half time lead against Hartlepool United in Tuesday's League Two clash at Victoria Park. Notts County are leading Barnet 1-0 in Tuesday's League Two clash at The Hive. Magpies manager Mark Cooper kept faith with the bulk of the team that lost 5-0 at Mansfield Town, giving them a chance to reedem themselves, and they got off to a bright start when they won a penalty six minutes in. Izale McLeod was felled in the box, and Jon Stead was the man to step up, sidefooting the ball past the goalkeeper and into the net to give the travelling Notts fans an early chance to celebrate.Updated by Joe Jones

Notts County are a goal down at Mansfield Town in Saturday's League Two clash at the One Call Stadium. The Stags were dangerous from the off and duly took the lead after just six minutes when Malvind Benning's cross evaded the Magpies defence and fell to Matt Green, who struck with his right foot to put the ball to the left of Scott Loach and into the net. The League Two clash between Yeovil Town and Notts County remains goalless at half time, despite a number of threatening efforts from Jamie Fullarton's side. York City have taken a 2-0 half-time lead against Notts County in today's League Two match at Bootham Crescent, both goals coming largely against the run of play. Just when it looked like Notts had got themselves back on track after beating Portsmouth in midweek, a second away defeat in three games, against the bottom team in the league, takes us back to square one. The unbeaten run now a distant memory, Hartley and Poole did it for Hartlepool, the appropriately named players scoring to beat the Magpies 2-1 at Victoria Park. The defeat proved to be Keith Curle's last match in charge, as the Notts board relieved him of his duties on Sunday.Updated by PON_News
