Back at my dad's my grandfather took some photos of the old trolley trams.

I can't remember where it was, it might have been Nottingham Castle where I was able to watch a video of them in operation. The sparks looked very dangerous, almost like lightening!

double decker too? that would be something in todays time to see.

the trams always full with like 6 carriages and another tram 5 minutes away the same. 🤣

I remember the trolley buses. They would be very handy right now, but I suppose they wouldn't work very good with the amount of traffic we have today, nor would the old fashioned trams

Yes Trolley Buses were brilliant they ran from overhead electric wires connected by poles, I used to catch one on Arkwright Sreet to get into town there was a terminus on Trent Bridge, I don’t think they came down Meadow Lane, a little single decker petrol bus (No. 8 I think) came down Meadow Lane from Sneinton to Trent Bridge.

@Fan of Big Tone Those photos bring back memories for me even as a 4 year old. How time has flown. Victoria Station, Trolley Buses, Wollaton & Clifton Coal mines all gone now.
