The Macari Foundation is a charity set up by ex-footballer Lou Macari, and they’re doing some fantastic work for the homeless in North Staffordshire.

They’ve got this place called the Macari Centre in Stoke-on-Trent, which is open every day of the year. It’s not just a shelter, but a place that provides support and helps people get back on their feet. They even refer to the people they help as ‘guests’, which I think says a lot about their approach.

This is such a heart-warming thing to learn about.

I wasn’t aware of this, but it seems like a fantastic initiative. I’m curious about Lewis’s opinion on his grandfather’s work.

this is a great thing, i wonder how many ex footballers have been this selfless to start a charity that benefits others instead of their own greed.

The foundation carries out crucial work. Referring to individuals as guests demonstrates respect and avoids passing judgement. It appears to be a practice that should be adopted nationwide.

A commendable charity, one I wasn’t aware of, but it does some fantastic work in the community.
