Met Office verdict on freezing blizzard this week with UK set to be colder than Iceland.

Could be many postponed football matches, especially in the lower leagues next weekend, due to Ice and Snow

Hopefully it won't come this far South.

The forecast is usually never right. We were supposed to have a mega storm over Christmas, but we never had any snow. I know some got a very light covering, but I don't think we'll be affected by this. Usually when the bad weather is coming in, we are alerted at work and have to make arrangements to be mindful of the campus and grounds.

we either tend to miss the snow, or it ends up as rain or we get covered in it. i dont mind it, i also like football games when the brighter balls are out. from a weather point of view, whatever comes we just have to get on and make the best of it.

Coldest night of the Winter recorded so far. Minus 14 Degrees in Scotland. It could get even colder tonight.

Ice is the worst thing. Where I am we've just had a severe weather warning due to it raining, dropping below freezing and everything freezing solid. There is black ice all over the place and the streets around my house are like an ice skating rink. Look after yourselves!

I don't mind it, though the cold does through things off for me. Provided everyone keeps warm and has food for several days, we'll coast any cold weather. They keep saying it's going to be bad but nothing.

I think they wanted the weekend off, it's way too early to postpone.
