We are getting hurricane force winds in the UK now but they won't call it a hurricane here. We've even had tornado alerts too.????

Is anyone else fed up with these storms? We’ve no sooner got rid of one and another is whistling through.

My weather gadget tells me it’s 5.7 degrees out there at the moment and the lowest overnight temperature was 3.9 degrees, so no car scraping for you poor people who have to go out to work early. ????

A few years ago they were just weather fronts, now they are named storms. They are not any more intense than when they were just weather fronts. It just seems that way when they are named. I suppose naming them gets people's attention, that's possibly what they want.
