Rewind to 2010, Johan Elmander scored this delightful goal for Bolton against Wolves. Great balance, footwork and finish. It doesn't get talked about as much as it should.

I'll be posting a different goal each day. Feel free to add your own goal of the day. There's bound to be some absolutely beauties to see.

In 1980 this goal by Justin Fashanu, an unknown at the time, against star studded Liverpool, made Justin famous overnight and turned him into a £1million player.

In 2013, Jack Wilshere scored this fantastic team goal with a delightful finish for Arsenal against Norwich. This is one of my all time favourite Premier League goals.

Since I missed yesterday, I'll post a double for today. Both goals Notts related.

Firstly, 3 years ago, Elisha Sam scored this worldie against Oxford City in the FA Trophy Quarter Final.

Secondly, sticking with the FA Trophy, 4 years ago Michael Doyle scored this sensational stoppage time winner. The commentary speaks for itself.

In 2002, Dennis Bergkamp scored this incredible goal against Newcastle. To this day, there's still debate on whether or not he meant it. From the podcasts I've listened to when Bergkamps ex-team mates mention it, they say it was 100% intentional and he did this regularly in training. Given the ability Bergkamp possessed, I wouldn't put it past him for this to be intentional. The way he swivels the defender, manages to shrug him off and then calmly slot it in to the corner.

I never get tired of watching this bicycle kick goal by Wayne Rooney for Man U against Man C

@Robbie Love hearing Micah Richards version of events whenever this goal is mentioned on a podcast, he gets so defensive about him not being the one at fault 🤣

Euro 2020 (in 2021) Patrik Schick scored for this audacious effort for Czech Republic (now Czechia) against Scotland. Caught the keeper off his line, hit it first time from just inside the opposition half and the way it bends outwards in to lob David Marshall. A goal made sweeter at the fact it was scored against Scotland who were in the same group as England 😅

1996. Phillipe Albert scored this delightful chip for Newcastle United against Manchester United. Peter Schmeichel could only watch it sail over his head into the net. Commentary makes this goal all the better.

It's 1996 again and it's yet another lob against Peter Schmeichel. This time it's from the effortlessly talented Matt Le Tissier for Southampton.

1997. Clarence Seedorf scored this wonderful long range effort for Real Madrid against rivals Atletico Madrid. What a hit!

2005. Steven Gerrard scored this long range volley for Liverpool against Middlesbrough. Stevie G was always prone to scoring a cracker or 2.

@Robbie already referred to this one in the double header along with Eli Sam v Oxford City on a double goal of the day. Great goal though, deserving of a double showing.

2000. Di Canio scores this incredible scissor kick volley for West Ham against Wimbledon. The strike is impressive, what an effort it was but what fails to get mentioned in this goal is the ping from Trevor Sinclair from right to left perfectly angled and weighted for Di Canio to get his volley away.

@KB1862 The goal Dennis Bergkamp scored, it was perfection! It reminded me of Gazza's goal against Scotland in Euro 96. Simply classy!

The Eli Sam goal was something else it was talked about all over the Internet and I believe it was put forward, for the Pukas Award but didn't even get a mention. Why would it ? Come on a goal scored by someone playing for a team like Lowly Notts County the Snobbery of the FA or FIFA  just wouldn't allow it. Now if Eli Sam had been playing for Manchester City or Liverpool and scored that goal it would have more than likely Won It. The Michael Doyle goal from the half way line. Rooney scored a goal like that, Beckham scored a goal like that and the main stream sports media never shut up about them. But only the Loyal Notts Fans recall Doyle's goal. Total Proof of the Bias against teams in the Lower steps of the Football Pyramid.

Does anyone remember this free kick from Coventry which saw the flick up by Willie Carr for Hunt to score on the volley.

Now this was a great run and goal by Ricky Villa in the FA Cup final of 1981 for Spurs.

The Coventry Goal shows intelligence and skill by Carr and  Hunt to produce an excellent Goal. So what does the FA DO? They BAN  It, which proves that those in charge of English Football Didn't have a Clue Then and Still Don't to this Day.
