So the first game today which kicks off at 5 pm BST is Switzerland v Italy.

Switzerland have shown some good form getting a draw against Germany, winning against Hungary & drawing against Scotland in their group, to finish  2nd in their group to Germany.

Meanwhile Italy came 2nd in their group behind Spain, winning one, drawing one, and losing one of their three group games.

Italy's form has been patchy, but you can never right them off in knockout games.

The winner of this game is scheduled to play the winner of England v Slovakia in one of the Quarter finals.

Switzerland are dominating this match. Italy have hardly featured at all.

Could we be seeing a shock here?

The 2nd Euro 24 game today sees Germany v Denmark at 8 pm BST.

Germany have been very impressive in their group matches, topping the group & winning two & drawing one of their three group matches.

In contrast, Denmark drew all their three matches and qualified & qualified 2nd to England in the group.

Germany will be big favourites tonight.

Game has been suspended 33 minutes into the game due to adverse weather conditions.

It is raining cats & dogs, thunder & lightening too.

Players are off the field.

The conditions look awful it’s a good decision though due to the lightening, can’t be too careful.

Germany scored through a penalty.

Germany 1 Denmark 0

Var strikes once again, disallows a Denmark goal then a Var check at the other end for handball gives Germany a penalty.

Var is destroying the beautiful game.

Guess what. English Ref again.

Yep spot on @Robbie it’s getting ridiculous.

Exciting game though, one of the better ones I’ve seen so far.

@Fan of Big Tone all the itv pundits were perplexed, by the Var decisions. We know the spurs manager is against Var. The American Ref on the panel made her case for Var and defended the Var decisions well, but I think it just goes against the spirit of the game.

The first game this Sunday at Euro 24 is the last 16 knockout game between England & Slovakia that kicks off at 5 pm.

England have flattered to deceive in their 3 group games, topping the group with one win & two draws from the three group matches, but England have not been at their best & will need to improve if they are to progress further.

Slovakia won one, drew one and lost one game in their 3 group games. Slovakia have been playing quite well for their level & will test England this evening.

So the waiting is over.

England have stuttered somewhat but have still qualified from their group as group winners and are in the round of 16 today where they face Slovakia for a place in the last 8.

Slovakia have played above their standing and are not to be taken lightly. But England surely have to be favourites.

It's the knockout stage so we will know in a couple of hours if England move on or come home.

The teams will be out shortly. England expects.CMON England.
