Well that's a surprise half way through a Notts match

Adam Chicksen has signed for Woking on loan.

Teaming up with Former Notts Captain Michael Doyle, could be a Good Move for Adam Chicksen and  regular game time will hopefully be a Benefit to him. If he does well I can see him possibly making the Move Permanent come the Seasons End Because like Junior he certainly seems to have fallen out of Favour at the Lane. Then again several Fans I've spoken to believe, that the National League is Chicksen's Level.

Count me as one of those fans, ultimately failed to impress this season imo, Hopefully he gets the NL experience and comes back to us at a better level in his development, think he peaked in the NL unfortunately however.

There is No Doubt that Chicksen did have an outstanding season under Luke Williams Leadership and was a Big Help getting the Magpies back into the Football League, but in the Higher League he seems to have struggled. He'll probably be more Comfortable in the National League.

I wonder now that Chicksen has left, Notts will be looking for an additional loan player, or free agent, to come in to bolster the Notts squad?

It had the writing on the wall, unfortunately, he would be destined to play as a centre back and would virtually never be given a chance in his proper position due to the options we have. I think this is a deal more to make sure Adam Chicksen gets game time, and is happy with that because I think his career at Notts is now over.

He can't be a bench player at his age, so I respect that he has gone out to Woking. I think he's better than that standard, but it's difficult to see him getting the minutes here.

A field where dreams become reality.

When the time comes, Chicksen and Bostock are 2 players that I would like to see sometime in the future back at Notts in coaching roles

Chicksen is a good player. He's probably fairly comfortable being a L2 fullback.

The issue is he doesn't really fit into our system. He's not really physically dominant enough to be a starting LCB, but he's also not attacking enough to be a wing back in the way we play.
