The Trillion Dollar Conman book

Featured Replies

Ah Yes a certain Mr Russell King. A Con Man Without Equal. If  any of my Fellow PON Members are Interested his Story is Told on You tube.

Type In Thoughty 2 This Man Scammed The World And Nobody Noticed. I can't put it up on here, because I haven't got a Clue how to Up Load It.  Someone Else may be able too?

It only lasts a little under 20 minutes and is well worth Watching. The Guy who produced the video as over 5 million subscribers, (so he Knows what he's doing).

Even @Dry Nelson Ray gets a mention in the book!

Time to move on from this now. To be honest I get fed up with hearing about it

The whole episode was a sad several months in our history, but that's what it is now, history.

It's time to celebrate the now, & to look forward to the future, which looks very encouraging under the Reedtz brothers.

Let's all move on.

Notts are now playing the 2024/25 season under the stewardship of great owners & a very good Head Coach.

We have a very good team & we might, just might, have a good chance of promotion in May next year.

Well we have moved on @Robbie but there’s no harm in reading or watching documentaries about this period in our history, I for one find it interesting.

some people may not have seen the videos, so i see no harm in it. does the book offer anything new?

i have seen a lot of hype about the book, but i dont want to buy it unless there is a point. if its a good read, then it will be money well spent.

It's quite overhyped and doesn't offer much. It feels more like a recap than anything else. If you already know the story, the book seems pointless, even though it is excellently written.

Oh, juicy gossip alert! Okay, lets hear the lowdown then. ????

I’m not great at the advice. Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?

@Dry Nelson Ray Does one get "lowdown" from an Eider?????

Elder, right? Where are my manners, I must have left them back in the last episode of my life! Could you spill the beans on where my name popped up? I’d love to know, and who knows, it might just make its way onto my Kindle wishlist. Because nothing says “I’m cultured” quite like digitally acquiring references to myself!

Eider right! It's just like watching duvet (Juve) if @Dry Nelson Ray doesn't quite get the reference!

Apologies for the tardiness, very much Wrexham brought into the storyline  as a follow up as to how Notts have progressed after the Munto fiasco.

I enjoyed it but I don't think there was much in it that we didn't already know, except perhaps what happened to King afterwards. But I'm glad someone's gone to the effort of putting it all on paper for the day when all the stuff about it online has disappeared.

I still think it is an excellent book, the back story to King was fascinating. From St George's Hill Weybridge ( perhaps one of the richest landowners private estates in the UK) to now a humbler dwelling in a Southampton suburb. I am still appalled that the Serious Fraud office didn't prosecute King for what had happened at #Notts.
