with due respect @Robbie, tax matters are for a tax expert, NFU can only really comment on farming matters with any authority

@PiethagoramThe NFU is a massive organisation that will have their own tax experts.

So like I said, I will trust the NFU.

But there is going to be big trouble for your Labour government because the farmers are not happy.

And not only that. The pound is tanking as is the bond market. Reeves/ Truss have something in common don't they.

Starmer's approval rating is at a record low. People don't like untrustworthy politicians do they.

@Robbie "The NFU is a massive organisation that will have their own tax experts.".... are you sure?... Evidence please?

Dan Neidle is an acknowledged expert. I respect his professional opinion

Come on @Piethagoramyour on a loser here. Your labour government is causing chaos on the markets. Starmer's popularity is sinking like a stone & the NFU wouldn't make a statement that isn't true.

You can respect Dan as much as you like. That's your choice, but as I said. I trust the NFU. If you don't that is up to you.

Essentially what you are saying @Robbie, if you need to seek advice on inheritance tax, you would rather go to the National Farmers Union rather than a "Tax expert". Ye gods! Dan Neidle has spelt it out in detail, the whys and wherefores. It cannot be any clearer yet you are accepting the NFU blurb. The devil is in the detail. I rest my case

Oh dear @Piethagoram you can spin it any which way you like. Two tier Keir is in big trouble.

It's not what you believe or I believe. It's what the farmers believe. They have their own tax experts/ chartered accountants.

And the farmers are protesting in London on Tuesday 19th November about your government's budget.

Good luck getting the farmers to believe your tax expert against their tax experts,/ chartered accountants.

Remember the farmers protests in France, Germany, & the Netherlands earlier this year?

Sorry to burst Labour's bubble but Starmer's in big trouble. Hopefully he will finish up capitulating to the farmers, because the farmers think they have a good case.

@Robbie You are so easily led by headlines that are not backed up by detailed factual evidence

Why are you trying to convince me @Piethagoram ?

Ask Dan to convince the farmers & their union the NFU, who are going to protest very soon & give plenty of pain to this terrible Labour government.

I'm not a farmer.

The cost of buying a House in April 2025 is going up thanks to this Labour Government.

Martin Lewis spells it out.

"The cost of buying a House in April 2025 is going up thanks to this Labour Government."

Let's be clear @Robbie, the tax rises are needed because the Tories left a £22bn black hole in the nation's finances.

Personally, I would double income tax on any home supporter at The Temple of Sin🫢🙃

Let's be clear that the £22 billion black hole is a figment of Labour's imagination to just justify Labour's spend spend spend philosophy.

Only a £2 hike in APD

"Chancellor Rachel Reeves said air passenger duty (APD) will rise from the 2026/27 financial year, adding up to £2 (€2.39) to the cost of an economy ticket for a short-haul flight."

A slight over reaction by Ryanair, so nothing new there

Farming is the life blood of this Country. Without our family farms, this Country is well and truly sunk.
