With the exception of the Reedtz era, and the fire sales of Notts youngsters Bearne and Etete... when did we last sell a 1st team player for serious money?

Ben Davies, January 2011 to Derby County.

That says a lot about the state of our recruitment.

Open to question, if you can think of another one pre the Reedtz era?

I really don't want to see Notts become a feeder Club for clubs higher up in the pyramid.

When your club is just a few points away from second place, with a settled side that is playing well, I cannot contemplate that the club would consider selling arguably their most important player, who could be so valuable to the club during the second half of the season.

Let's keep our best players to give the club the best chance of achieving promotion this year.

Once promotion is achieved, then it will be time to buy and sell to be able to compete in League 1.

its better we are making something than always losing, players come here and improve. typically all we have known is them being linked with a club, but instead of using the money to strengthen you would see those players released. missing out on a transfer fee for the likes of kyle wootton, ruben rodrigues etc its disappointing. selling players can be disappointing to but at least we can use the funds to improve.

moneyball was thrown around when we first got took over by the reedtz, to some degree we need to make use of it.

I am sure that there are Plan B's in place. Current squad, Bass is the one that is irreplaceable.

With season ticket sales part of the financial equation, Notts need to keep hold of the best players now... selling Jata now would impact on next season ticket sales, so I don't think the Board will take that risk

Every club should sell players. We are not at the level where we can afford to miss out on transfer fees. As long as we re-invest well, I am happy with it.
