Good morning it’s a new week and it’s a wet miserable start here but let’s look on the bright side it’s forecast to be a bit brighter and drier later.

I hope everyone is well and fighting fit, whether you are going back to school/college after the half term break or off to work or turning over for another hour in bed I hope you have a good day.

It's been a lovely morning here with plenty of sunshine.

A visit to the supermarket this morning then some time in the garden fixing post buddies to the garden fence posts.

The recent strong winds have tested our fencing to the full. The post buddies do help to stabilise the posts & give them some further prolonged life.

Very sluggish start to the day.

I can't report much in terms of activity in the real world, but I have been doing server- and site-related stuff. In a moment I will update the news ticker; I probably should look if I can implement permissions for non-admins to update it. I am hoping to pick things up; it's frustrating me, and I don't like how inactive I have been due to personal matters. I know most will understand; it's not that, it's me.

At least I am snug and in virtually no pain. Also, my left hand is starting to feel normal. I feared I might have broken it or done some nerve or muscle damage when I put it back in place. So, that's a positive.

I also want to sort out time to try to go to a gym, but this would depend on my friend whose partner is currently preparing for the loss of her nan. It's very sad, and I really hope they both come through it. :(

Good morning, it’s a cool start but looking to be a decent day especially in the morning, we might catch a shower this afternoon.

Welcome back to the gaffer @Chris it’s good to see you posting again I’m glad to hear you haven’t any pain at the moment.

We are going clothes shopping ready for our upcoming cruise, we’ve got most things but just need a couple of extra stuff to replace worn out things.

We want to go a long walk as well so it’ll be an early start so we can fit it all in.

Have a great day everyone.

i am in the homeward stretch of finishing work, which today has gone by very quickly.

i did not have a break, due to how busy work was and i am not that bothered because it meant that others would finish on time. i think team work is important, and a 15 minute break being used to help is not a big deal even tho i think i am one of few who would. at dinner time, i walked into the city centre and eat at the kfc near the market square. its very annoying with all the bike delivery people buzzing around and paying little attention to themselves or anyone else. very ignorant!!

i have some time off coming up, as i have take my holidays that are remaining. so, i will be wondering how i can still be productive during that point but i should be on here a lot more. please let mark know, i am sorry to read about his partners nan @Chris. :(

Yesterday was Tesco delivery day and @william1984, and @Harrys_Mummy came round to collect their part of the shopping. It was an insert day  at school so grandkids Luna and @Harry Buckley came with them and gave me my birthday cards and early present.Don't grandkids love to wind you up.

Earlier ,next door's landlord/renovator told me he would be putting the fence that was blown down in the recent gales back up and that he was also hoping to complete all his work .I reminded him that some of the rubbish his last tenant had left in the access path down the side and along the outside of the bottom of my garden was still there. He told me he had paid to have it removed.I told him this wasn;t the case as there was still some items remaining including the dustbin full of soiled nappies. His reply was that someone else must have left the dustbin. So I asked him why it was marked with the same number as the house he was renovating. He wasn't very happy. This morning the bin was removed by landlord's helper.I'm hoping for a bit of peace and quiet now.

Another nice day here but a little colder than yesterday. The neighbour had part of his fence replaced this afternoon which was a relief as some parts of it were blown down a few weeks ago.

I've got to do some more work on parts of my fence tomorrow too. It hasn't fallen down or anything  like that but it needs securing with post buddies.

The  ground is so wet at the moment. It just doesn't have the time to dry out before more rain arrives.

Some good news to report. We are coming to the end of the meteorological winter in a few days, so hopefully the weather will start to reflect that & get a little warmer. We are due a nice spring and summer.

Keeping an eye on the league 2 games tonight. Walsall & Bradford are playing.

Morning all, happy Wednesday (if you’re a duck), it’s chucking it down. I’m glad we had our walk yesterday, we went to Attenborough Nature Reserve it was very busy the sun brought out lots of folk, there seemed to be lots of dog walkers, we were literally tripping over the blooming things, one person we saw had five dogs all off the lead. Apart from that it was a lovely walk along the Trent and around the lakes.

I’m not sure we’ll get out today it depends on the weather, have a good day everyone.

Its been raining all morning here, so that has changed my plans around making some repairs to my garden fence. Will leave it tomorrow.

I'm expecting a food delivery shortly so that will be another job done today. Keeping off the depressing news today. Much more better things to do around the house.

It's all quiet next door now.All the vans and cars attending next door have gone.I have just had a walk down the access path, all the way to next door's back gate, and ......

well , it looks like everything has been removed that should have been removed. The path is very muddy now ,but that is to be expected. It was  dry soil before today but has been made worse by the repeated trampling and dragging of things and not helped by the hail storm that occured while stuff was being shift.

Perhaps there'll be a bit of  continual peace and quiet now.Whoopee!

@super_ram I can identify with your frustration. The house next door to us has been sold three times since we've been here, & every time, the new owners, have made changes to the rooms in the house, it has come with making all different types of noises.

Makes you wonder if it's worth making improvements to a house before selling it .

It has been a lovely morning & early afternoon here. Nice to get some drying weather for a change.

Took advantage of the good weather to get into the garden  & trim down our American lilac. It has become very large over the years & has been taking lots of light.

Managed to cut it into manageable pieces to get it into the brown bin.

Good afternoon, it’s a lovely day but very cold when we went out this morning especially in the shade. Mrs. T has got a line full of washing out so she’s happy.

We’ve just had a visit from that nice man from Tesco whose brought us lots of goodies to fill our cupboards, fridge and freezer, so we’ll be good for another week.

Tonight is our support group meeting, we are training up two new volunteers who seem keen and are going to run the next meeting when we’re away. Our volunteers co-ordinator from Head Office is also coming to check up on us so it’ll be a busy night, I hope it all goes smoothly.

We are hoping the new volunteers will be ok if as we want to take a break from running the meetings it can get quite depressing at times and we need to look after ourselves.
