Robbie Cundy to Solihull Moors on Loan

Robbie is right down the pecking order at Notts, so I think this is a good move for him to get some game time behind him.

I wish him loads of luck at Solihull Moors & hope he can make a big impact there.

It does feel like he is our emergency/last choice centre back. Macari is back now and letting him go now would suggest to me McDonald's injury isn't that serious either. I hope he does well at Solihull too just for his sake, he only signed for a year (I think) so I doubt we'll see much of him again.

Sometimes I wonder about how Notts do their research on a player. I know that they study how they play and whether they will fit into the Notts style or not.Β

Talking generally, I wonder if Notts do personality tests like other employers do. A few players have been loaned out or have failed to get selected.Β

These players seem to have the talent to succeed but I do wonder if there is something else that puts them out of favour. Could it be personality?

He has never seemed to be a good fit in our team, but with Rod McDonald and other players, it just makes more sense to loan him out. I wouldn't write him off yet. I thought he did okay coming on against Colchester, and he has shown signs of doing much better. That said, he does have the potential to be the worst signing of the season, but I hope, given time, he can come good. A loan might just be the thing that pushes him to try harder if he can get minutes upon his return.

Nice lad, but I don't think he pushes himself enough and I think he's content to be just a professional. I think we have had far better players, and we seem to favour his height over his actual defensive abilities. The only game I think he stood out as having potential was against Colchester in our home game, but I do wonder now if it was because he knew the club were planning to loan him out?

I wish him well; personally I think Notts can do better, but I would always hope that a player under contract could prove themselves.

After all, he's not Richard Duffy.
