I thought George Abbott played very well, winning the ball back and getting involved. Defensively, I felt he was solid. However, his passing and purposeful movement going forward really earned my vote.

My top four shortlist for PON man of the match are :-

Matty Platt.

David McGoldrick.

George Abbott.

Will Jarvis.

I'm going to go for George Abbott. He never seems to have a poor game for Notts.

I thought David McGoldrick was outstanding once again and delivered a strong performance throughout the game. If he hadn’t been required to do so much work leading up to some of his shots, I believe he could have placed them more accurately. Even if some feel he missed a few good chances, he deserves credit for creating those opportunities and performing well in all areas of the pitch.

Kellan Gordon got my vote. I thought he was excellent in the first half, with his crosses being very accurate and just needing someone in the right position to finish them. In the second half, I felt the quality of crossing wasn’t great from any player, but Gordon still gave a solid performance overall.

Thanks to all who voted today. It made for a competitive race between Abbott & Didzy for the top spot.

I am pleased to announce that the Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match is George Abbott, who again demonstrated, even in a Notts defeat, that he is going to be a future star.Screenshot_20250316-211145.png
