Notts County Vs Mk Dons

A tough start to 2013 for Notts.

I'm unsure about MK Dons, They can be very hit and miss but no doubt it will be a challenge. I really hope we start the new year with a bang, as a good run could see us laugh about what happened with regards to our home form. I notice still, comments about Curle needing to go if we don't win. I think it would be harsh, I very much hope we stand by him.

Will post my starting line up tomorrow, with a brave prediction of the score.

Happy New Year! COYP!!

our home form is concerning, i'm not sure. mk are a good side with top players. i fully expect a draw

i totally am thinking a 1-1 tonight. but i wouldn't be suprised if the game isn't rained off on recent form. lol.

although i am not Curle's biggest fan, i am just hoping that the fans to show some support for the boys

We've gone a goal down, horrible defending from the sounds of it. (Colin calls it 'Soft')

The play seems to be very open, we're attacking and Judge had a chance in 90's which was a very good chance. We need to slow down at times, get our act together and then quickly attack as we did against Shrewbury. (Picking our moments)

shocking, mk look like they could slaughter us. get a grip notts! curle needs to fix this asap.

:(

that's not good. It's not possible to continue to lose games in this way...

What's happening to the team?

Sounds like far too much pressure is being applied to our defense, when it happens we seem to crumble. I'd like to see us try to play someone just infront of them, like we did when Mahon played but I think we need to make sure that they remain tight. Doesn't give much room for error, if we mark properly, we have fallen into the habit of sitting back.

I still think we can get back into this, we sound like we can at least.

Not looking too good for you at the moment. We're doing well against Boro but I always worry that the second half performance will be different, which is what you all want at the lane.Good luck.

We had a brief spell which nearly seen us pull the goal back, I'm still positive.

GO ON JCR!! Get in there!! :D :D

better second half but our errors punish us, we need to work on that. was expecting a worse reaction but time to fix with signings

we beat coventry Joe!! sorry to hear about your result, it's tough playing mk dons very physical and strong. curle will have added pressure now, if you want to finish inside the play offs something will have to be given or dear i say done. stability is always important, as is the backing. i just hope those fans of notts who know better, remain silent as they don't know anything.

:( really bad situation looking at the table.

Notts was 5 points from the top a couple of weeks ago and now it's 14 pts far. So Tranmere made 9 pts and Notts none. Not good. we're ten points from the 4th and next is Portsmouth. They've lost 5-0 so they will be very angry. Notts has to win!

the game didnt look that good for us for the first half, it picked up abit after but still not good enough to get a win or draw.

Notts didnt seem to be doing too well today, but at least did better in the 2nd half. I think they could of played better in the first half but could say that about alot of teams recently. Shrewsbury won today but not by much, but at least we got a win in the end. Hoping we both win next time.

Just back from the match, we lost the game in the first 20 minutes or so, MK players were given too much space, awful defending by Notts. The second half was much much better and in the end I think we were unlucky not to get a draw with Hughes hitting the woodwork.

The home form is a real worry for Curle, I fear for him if he doesn't turn in round in the next home match, it might already be too late as Mr. Trew is not known for his patience.

We have games in hand, we need to turn things and it's not just down to the manager. Us fans have to make our voices heard in the right way, I don't deny anyone the right to want him out but I hope that fans can vent rather than share anger. It's really becoming a black hole situation for us, which is only going to get worse unless we do our part too.

Great news Will, I'm very happy to hear that. I wished I could be saying the same to you though :(

We played better from the sounds of it, we need to stop these half performances. We can't seem to play well completely for 90 minutes but we'll move on, we always do.

Similar to the style of defending at Rotherham Tony? We don't mark too well.

I hope Ray doesn't react to quickly, I see Curle going soon but only due to the lack of support. We need to give our managers more support, by this I mean the majority of fans who now want him out. I'm saddened that I didn't give him a chance at the start, though I wasn't that negative just concerned.

Shocking!

Well we need to get a team together so they can bond as a team rather than what seems to be "Pic'n'Mixing" the team. Sorry to be negative but I can't see any positives from today's game which is unusual for me. I really would like to see Enoch Showunmi get a start. A large proportion of Notts fans seem to hate him even though he hasn't had a real chance to show us what he can do. He's made a total of 3 starts for us which for a number 9 striker is quite frankly disappointing.

Here's a video of the JRC penalty that Josh captured, excellent penalty! (I hope he doesn't mind)

I have to say I was super disappointed today. Not the way I wanted to start the new year at all!

Come on boys x

I am sure we will be able to get back up there, but these are similar circumstances to last season when Mad Dog was sacked. However I highly doubt Keith will be sacked, we simply can't afford to do it. Anyway, I wouldn't sack him, every team has a bad patch in a season, even promotion pushing sides. I don't think its so much down to Keith as a Manager, more down to the players not achieving their potential and not playing as a team. We will find our form soon.

Role on next game.

Ben.

I'd say those are well thought out mate, something I'd agree 110% with.

December is also a period where many teams allow motivation to weaken, as their minds might be on other things but I fully expect us to bounce back. I keep saying it but that's because I firmly believe they will. We have a good squad now, just need more options and players who can change the games like to day in a good way. I can't wait for Manny and Leacock to form a great partnership!

Another person who thinks Showunmi looks decent! He should start more, I'm telling you! Ha!
