Not bad for Jatta's first full season in the EFL.

He deserves it. His form may have dipped towards the end of the season, but he maintained an impressive level for most of it. Along with David McGoldrick, he kept us pushing towards the top with their touches of magic.

And David McGoldrick is in the top six too.

I am delighted for both Jatta and Didzy, more so for Alassana Jatta as this could give him a bit of confidence. I hope he's still not dwelling on his sending off, having spoken to him after he looked very distraught.

This highlights and promotes his ability; it's a great achievement for him.

Great achievement for both players. They had a strong partnership while David McGoldrick was here. Both thrived on the understanding they shared, and McGoldrick’s experience really brought out the best in Alassana Jatta.
