Is this the guy who claimed he wasn't a fraudster and threatened to sue the Nottingham Post for writing in an article that he was?

His name rings a bell; I think even AH mentioned that he wouldn't sell the club to him, as he didn't believe he had the funds. I distinctly remember it being referred to as Munto Finance Strike II. It's a good job he didn't end up purchasing us; we could have been seriously doomed. Could this be yet another reason to be thankful for the Reedtz ownership? rolleyes

I think every single supporter in their heart of hearts are thankful for the Reedtz brothers ownership of Notts.

yeah some supporters were panicking that he would get hold of the club and some took it a lot further, be i am glad ah had the common sense to avoid him. it would have been a disaster if he was involved. a con artist running a professional football club wont be success for the long term.

Imagine if his true identity hadn’t been revealed, it was only thanks to the newspaper article that his fraud and prison sentence was discovered.

This is from when he was in talks about purchasing us, "Alex May, when we were first introduced, disclosed everyone about his conviction. He has changed his name. He came clean and told us and everyone involved in this transaction is aware of that". Just baffling Alan Hardy even accepted the talks with him.

I think the reaction from us fans pretty much put a stop to it, but if that hadn’t all come to light I wonder if he would’ve been able to blag his way through all the EFL checks…

It’s worrying to think he nearly owned Notts, even with the fake name and all the noise he made about having the money. That radio interview where he talked about being part of a group that saw the club as a Championship side, there’s just that sense he would’ve stripped the assets and moved money out. I suppose he might’ve put some of the dodgy cash into Notts to make it look legitimate.
