I know it's far off but his contract expires at the end of the season, I'd have thought this second season was the one he'd be more involved but that's not happened for him. I wouldn't bet on him being here next season given the fact he wasn't registered to play for the first of half of the season. However, things can change quickly in football, if he impresses at Altrincham then maybe he'll get a chance here. I really hope he does well.

You could look at it as he's gone on loan because he's closer to the first XI than you think - only 1 injury to either Palmer or Norburn and he's in the matchday squad.

He needs game time, but I'm sure the loan includes a recall.

At only 22, he's not the finished article as a CM. I'd say he's L2 level not NL, but not promotion level L2 without taking a leap forward.

Jack has made 19 appearances for Notts & when he's played for Notts he played steady without being spectacular. But he hasn't done a lot wrong either.

To be honest I'm surprised that he has been sent on loan because if either Palmer or Robertson get injured Hinchy would be close to selection.

I do hope he can get some game time at Altrincham, but I would have preferred he had gone to a league 2 club because his standard is higher than the National League in my opinion.

I think it will be Altrincham who has decided on the length, he has done well for us at times but hasn't showed enough improvements. In all fairness, you look at him in the squad and think it's a position we could be better allocating to someone else. I also think there's better younger options that we could bring in, Hinchy is 22 and needs to be playing on a weekly basis to improve further. Wiki says, he's only got 37 league appearances, which is nothing for a player of his age.

Good luck to him, I hope he flourishes and does gain confidence, but I think he will be one player highly likely to move on in the near future on a permanent basis.
