Jack Hinchy Recalled

Featured Replies

Jack Hinchy has been recalled from his loan spell at Altrincham. It's great to see him back. It's a wise move by Notts. I hope he gets another opportunity in the centre of midfield.

Agreed. Talented lad, seemed to get some harsh criticism last season but he’s still young and has potential. He’s gritty, a battler but with some skill and an eye for a pass.

Happy to see him back in the fold. Not a first choice selection but with Robbo & Palmer out he’s a sound cover/squad player.

Excellent move to cut that one short.

He'll be another Francis - fail to get regular pitch time in the NL, and then pop up some time afterwards on a L1 squad.

Do we know what Robbo's problem is? There might be more need for cover than has been disclosed.

Thought Patto said he had flu 🤔. Must be more than flu 🤧.

Shame Hinchy hasn't had much game time at Altringham though.

That's reason enough to recall him.

Hopefully, Robbo will be back very soon. But it was noticeable that there was no CM on the subs bench v MK for the first time in weeks. MP needs the option of being able to cover that area.

Ed Francis seems to have had few games at Exeter this season. Is he injured?

Probably should be a new thread, but how many Notts players have slipped through the recruitment net recently? I can't recall any?

Maybe, but he played quite a lot last season - that still counts as a great bounceback from his NL days.

A different case entirely, but it's fun keeping an eye on one of my favourites Aden Baldwin - playing CB for the 2nd place team in L1 currently on track to become a Championship player.

I get the idea, but I don't think he can actually be involved, at least not right away.

This is from the club back in September: Clubs are required to confirm a maximum of 22 outfield players aged 21 or over who are eligible to play in League Two until January 2026. Jack Hinchy is the only senior player omitted, with the club currently seeking a loan move to support his development.

I think that means we can't re-register him until January 1st 2026.

You could be right @menzinho but the OS says

Jack Hinchy has been recalled from his loan spell at Altrincham.

The midfielder returns to bolster our midfield ranks at a time when both Matt Palmer and Scott Robertson are unavailable due to injury.

It may be the case that Jack was recalled due to lack of game time at Altrincham. I wonder if he will be loaned out to another Club that will give an assurance to play him?

The only other alternative is for him to play for the B team before January. But is that the sort of standard he needs right now? I doubt it.

Listened to Martin's pre Grimsby presser this morning. Jack Hinchy was recalled from his loan spell as cover for injuries to Robbo & Palmer. Jack will be available to play if required. His reregistration shouldn't be a problem.

Palmer should be ready to play in a couple of weeks but Robbo could be anything between two & six weeks before he's fit, due to his muscle injury

6 weeks! Ouch that’s a real blow.

Ollie Norburn suddenly becomes very important and Hinchy will have to cover from the bench

Great time then for Iorpenda to get that tremendous confidence boost, we’re going to need him to be right on top of his game this month, including when Palmer comes back

I've not been impressed with Norburn but fairly open to seeing how Hinchy comes across.

Hinchy has a big opportunity here if he can get into the side as a substitute & impress while he's on the field. Hinchy has already shown that he has potential & I think that the way Notts play suits him.
