  1. I think we'll see Beck Ray, Platt and Macari omitted.
  2. Platt was sat behind me in Pavis yesterday and looks to be in good condition. From what I understand he's in rehabilitation training now which is nearish the end of his injury process.
  3. More rumouring in the mill - Donnell McNeilly and/or Grady McDonnell apparently linked from Forest. Also Rory Finneran from Newcastle. Suggests that Robbo is out given the need for a DM in Finneran/McDonnell...
  4. Very good prospect, really like the vibe of a rapid, nimble, athletic striker. Contract expires next summer, so maybe there's potential there for a big Jan signing full of incentives if he performs well. Talking of athletic strikers, Iwunze does fit the bill of someone if personally give a chance to if this fails.
  5. Rumour is Robbo now injured.
  6. I mean, I get it. To play in a Paterson team, we have to be hard, physical and well drilled. But at the same time we're getting decimated from injuries during training. Jatta and Jones had sizeable chunks out of last season, and now Sanders, Acquah and Campbell are all out via training injuries with two games gone... feels like we can do something more with physio's or match conditioners. I'm sure we already have these at the club, but when they made a big song and dance about Dr Rhodes joining and then he left, we've not heard to much about that side of it at the club.
  7. I think Grant was a part exchange for Nemane.
  8. Bagged twice at the weekend in a win of Brizzle Rovers
  9. If it goes ahead, it's pretty much assured that Jones is off.
  10. I think that we'll be a first choice for loans for many clubs (maybe bar Man Utd with Aljofree last season), but given that Luker looks to be given a shot in the first team, Iorpenda potentially on the move to Derby and Hall's been mentioned on being loaned to a championship club, we are showing that we're a club that can really educate and bring a player up levels. I look forward to seeing some young uns back up what we've got.
  11. We're looking incredibly thin. I think we need two AM's, a LWB (maybe two if Jones leaves) and RWB, probs another CM and a GK if Roos leaves.
  12. Robertson and Grant out short term. Sanders out for 3 months. Jones and Palmer out for assessments (might be selling them). Rod out til Sept and Enoru is still trying to get back from hospitalisation. It's looking a bit ropey...
  13. Gone to a team that's average attendance is short of 2k and who's owner buys and gets teams relegated (Spezia and Sønderjyske). We got a "fair value" which doesn't say a million but doesn't say 200k so coffers could go along way to replenishing (and binning off) certain players.
  14. I suppose O' Reilly is a great acquisition (even if on loan) as we deseperately need a lot of new creative blood, but I think we're about to lose Jones and Jatta. Depending on what we do with Roos and his huge wages is another conundrum we're faced with. We still are missing depth at WB (if we're sticking with this formation) also with no definitive RWB (Tsar likely to move across to LWB if Jones goes).
  15. I suppose it's why the brothers are so good that although their market is quantitative data, they also rely on qualitative data and subjective consensus. We all know how much at risk he puts the team under, especially defence.
  16. The Roos departure could potentially be our best bit of business in the last decade if true.
  17. Looked good against Viborg, looked poor against Forest. Ironically the best striker against Forest was Iwunze.
  18. Luton have bulked up around the front line so if we make a competitive, incentive-based offer we'd likely get him. Same with Iorpenda who's stalling on a new offer and contract runs out next season (they've also brought in around the AM/Winger positions). If we don't get em now, we might get em in Jan depending on if they get in or not.
  19. I don't think Langstaff would be a Patto player. Sure he's intelligent, but he's more of a poacher, more akin to the likes of Inzaghi etc but Patto has a reliance on strong players. I'd guess that Acquah is more of the striker that Patto wants to start.
  20. The terrible thing about this is his agent. He is seemingly brandishing him around all the time in the faint hope he'll sign for another big European club. I like Jatta - I think he's intelligent and technical but isn't the big bastard many people want, probs including Patto. There will be another striker or two if the club goes all Jarvis and gets Mai back to a Scandinavian club, I just have no idea what players they could be.
  21. Unless Jatta or Ndlovu are sold, I doubt we'd need four strikers unless we're shifting our formation. I'd hope for Mellon personally over Acquah. If we sign Acquah, it kind of guarantee's that Jatta is staying and Ndlovu is back up.
  22. To add the meltdown of other forums to this one, Emile Acquah has been heavily rumoured.
  23. Sam Curtis and Darius Lipsiuc mentioned for us. Don't know enough about either to say what they're like or if they'd fit straight in to the squad. Age suggests not directly first team.
