Happy New Year to you pies!

Just a little introduction and my back story.

My name is Ben, born in Gloucester and lived here the majority of my life. I have no connections to Nottingham whatsoever apart from my football club.

Im originally a Tottenham Hotspur fan since about 1989/90, but fell out of love with football in the late 90s. (Huge salaries/lack of loyalty etc) I could see it creeping in back then.

My first ever game i wanted my Dad to take me to see at White Hart Lane was Spurs v Notts on the 7th December 1991 and since then Notts were always my second team. I was a big fan of Steve Cherry back then, he, along with Eric Thorsvedt and Paul Gascoigne were my footballing idols.

As I mentioned I fell out of love with football for a few decades, and after watching 'Welcome to Wrexham' I realised why I fell in love with football in the first place. This got me thinking I needed football back in my life and lower league football is where it was at.

Notts County, being my second team all those years ago ticked every box for me.

I could of Picked Cheltenham Town, Forest Green, Bristol Rovers, Swindon. But as Gloucester lad i honestly despise the lot 😁

Ive been to Newport, Swindon, Cheltenham, Bristol Rovers and MK Dons, all away this season and im looking for other Pies local to me to attend games with.

Ill shut up now as the Accrington game is about to start.
