A good workmanlike win for Notts today against a struggling Crawley side. A bit of individual brilliance from Jodi & a poachers goal from Jatta gave Notts the points. Notts were unfortunate to concede a late goal from a deflection, but getting back to winning ways will be welcome.

So who's your Man of the Match for Notts today? I have chosen the starting eleven for you to make your choice. Those players are.

Belshaw, Macari, Platt, Bedeau, Tsaroulla, Palmer, Norburn, Jones Grant, Iorpenda, Jatta.

I'd say it's between two players who were terrible last time out but bounced back to their bests today.

I'll give it to Jatta over Platt. On his day, Jatta does it all, defend, hold it up, be a threat, score.

I didn’t go to Crawley but listening to the radio I heard that Belshaw made two or three excellent saves early on to keep us in the game, so my man of the match is debut boy and Notts fan James Belshaw.

Belshaw was solid, but truth be told he only actually made a couple of saves, he wasn't overly tested.

Some fans have gone on about seeing an edge/dark arts side to us. Well yesterday Norburn had absolute blinder in that regard, yet no one has really commented on it. He wound someone up to the point he got him sent off, is that MotM worthy?

But I went with Platt, could've been a number of players though as I thought we had lots of solid and good performances, no-one really stood out for me.

Norburn has guile, nous and fair amount of experience, they are useful qualities. I’d say he must be a strong candidate.

It sounded a bit turgid for the most part but we conjured up a goal, managed the game and then got another. As usual for Notts, we then made it an exciting finish!

Hard to pick a MOTM in a gritty and determined team performance. Other than Norburn, you have to consider Jatta, who has been dire for weeks but did his stuff, and Belshaw, who proved that goalkeepers are allowed to catch the ball and command their box. For that, I’d go Belshaw tbh.

Seemingly everyone is missing Macari's performance, so it's Macari for me.

A number of different candidates have been put forward so far seems to indicate that in what was a fairly scrappy game there was no real standout performer. A touch of quality from Jodi for the his goal was about it, but not enough for MOM. I'll add another to the mix and nominate Tom Iorpenda.

I'm pleased that Jodi scored with a screamer & Alassana had a good game. Platt was his usual self in defence & the team was solid defensively & unfortunate not to get a clean sheet.

I think I'm going to go for James Belshaw as my Man of the Match for Notts, because he made some vital saves on his debut, & it was an encouraging first game for him.
