Ndlovu appeal fails

Featured Replies

This from the official site:

Our appeal against Lee Ndlovu’s red card has been unsuccessful.

We felt we had strong grounds to contest the decision but were swiftly informed that the forward must serve a three-match ban.

Honestly, live I couldn't tell but I have seen footage from fans angels and I think the card was deserved. It wasn't intential but it was dangerous. There's people saying no contact was made, but judging what I have seen after it would suggest it was made and I am surprised the appeal hasn't caused further suspension. Straight red is three games right? Appealing would add a further two matches.

I think we have been lucky if I am right.

I hope Jatta is back soon otherwise this could be a worry going into the next three games, if neither Jatta or Ndlovu can play that just leaves Dennis as our only out and out striker.

I agree with @Chris it was a dangerous tackle that could have resulted in a serious injury, so the straight red was justified as well as the suspension.

But I do remember a bad tackle on Jodie Jones when Notts played Gillingham last season that went unpunished & Jodi finished up being out for months.

There are so many inconsistencies when it comes to dangerous incidents during a game where these incidents are either jumped upon, not seen or just ignored by the officials.
