I was thinking about this after the game, and Derry actually mentioned it himself in the post match interview.

Would you rather Notts won 5-3 or 1-0?

Is the entertainment better than a clean sheet?

This could be a question on the next Meet the Fans, who knows

5-3 for me.

Today was exciting, especially the first half. Cut out the silly mix ups and they were out of it. We let them back in it. Surprising after recent good defensive record.

You can't beat goals though can you?

Yes, definitely 5-3 for me, you still get three points but it's more entertaining.

1-0 any day of the week.

It's interesting see entertainment labelled as goals because of me this isn't the case. Sure scoring more is great, I liked the buzz and roar from the crowd today but chances come in the majority of games where the lads play well and aslong as they do... Well that's fine by me but clean sheets are better!

A clean sheet has to be the basis of how we set up. If they don't score you can't lose.

Sure its good to see open play, with attacking and plenty of action, but you need the pragmatism along side it..

Yes but the question was 5-3 or 1-0, since they both get us 3 points surely seeing 8 goals is better than only one goal, in fact 5-3 puts us in a better position because its +2 goal difference instead of +1 so in my eyes in no contest.

I don't the obsession with clean sheets, as long as we are scoring more than the opposition it's ok by me.

Any Notts win will do for me.Lots of goals don't always equal a good entertaining game just  as 0 - 0 isn't always boring.

Clean sheets are good for the defence and keeper, conceding goals is never a good thing. We can't solely rely on scoring more than others because what happens if we don't or can't?

Well that's why I said as long as we score more than the opposition. i.e. I'm not bothered how many we concede as long as we score more.

Going back to the original question 5-3 or 1-0, I would always want a 5-3.

Its not a big thing either way.

I do like cleen sheets, yet a exciting game does create a great feeling around the stands. Nobody should thrown upon a cleen sheet, it is something every good keeper wants and Roy will be no different.

I'm a defender, so get great joy in keeping the opposition at bay. For me, a clean sheet and a win... always.

And as a striker, you want to get one over the keeper and defense so not being able to score is frustrating!

This is a great tool for any side, as frustrated players are easily cast aside. ;)

Wouldn't need to cast anyone aside providing we keep on winning 1-0. :P

Anyone there yesterday would be lying if they say they didn't enjoy all the goals in the first half. Electric atmosphere and game, bar the silly mistakes.

No doubt, though I'd enjoy winning 5-0 far more. No home fan wants to see the opposition score surely? It's a heart sinking moment even at 3-0 up.

Agreed. The "here we go again" comments were all around me when their first goal went in. It didn't help them getting the second so quickly. I think the disallowed goal helped us though. Reignited the fire so to speak.
