Steve Davis has warned his men to beware of a backlash from Notts County on Saturday, 3pm.

After a strong start the Magpies are in freefall in League One, having failed to win any of their last seven matches.

They have lost their last four at Meadow Lane, scoring just twice in the process, and are currently rock-bottom of the divisionÒ€ℒs form standings.

After the AlexÒ€ℒs recent run of good results the gap between the sides has narrowed to just five points, and DavisÒ€ℒs men will be confident.

But he warned Shaun DerryÒ€ℒs men will be hurt by their recent performances, and will view the fixture against a side they have already beaten 3-0 this season as the perfect opportunity to get back on track.

He said: Ò€œThey have hit some indifferent form, it happens to all teams.

Ò€œBut theyÒ€ℒll be trying to put that right, they are at home and their fans will be wanting them to perform a lot better.

Ò€œWe go there at a good time, we hit Oldham at a similar stage.

Ò€œBut they have a good group of players, they are suffering with confidence a little bit perhaps.

Ò€œWeÒ€ℒve gone longer than that without winning, you donÒ€ℒt know how it affects the group.

Ò€œTheyÒ€ℒll see it this as a big game because we are below them in the table.

Ò€œI think we are better than we were when we met in the first part of the season. Hopefully weÒ€ℒll give them a better game.Ò€

The manager is confident defender Harry Davis, who had his tooth knocked out in the 3-1 victory over Gillingham last weekend, and midfielder Anthony Grant, who has a slight hip problem, will be fit to play.

Crewe have won three of their last four, but havenÒ€ℒt tasted success at County since the 1996-97 season. They have drawn two and lost two since.

The Alex hope to add a back-up keeper to their squad in time for the game.

County signed winger Will Hayhurst on an 18-month deal from Preston earlier this week, and brought in attacking duo Alefe Santos and Kwame Thomas on loan from Derby County.

Davis added: Ò€œEveryone feels better when you are winning, there is momentum and spirit around the place.

Ò€œIn all honesty, even when we were losing, we kept the belief in the group that we could turn it around and thatÒ€ℒs starting to show.Ò€

Well he acknowledges that we are a danger and that the tide could turn, I think it makes a change. Obviously if you want people to be interested, saying negative things would stir the emotion in order to get people to respond but I like his comments. I expect them to take the game to us, so we're the one's who need to be aware.

He's a good snooker player but not cut out to be a football manager.

Was really funny in ' I'm a celebrity, get me out of here' a few years back. Good guys but seriously clumsy.

On the clip he'd just finished discussing how clumsy he was out there.

Anyway back to football!

It did indeed Mr @hissingdwarfMind I am sure I have before :P Just not the recent ones.. ;)

Sorry sir. Must remember to keep it extra funny and not everyone has the childish humour like me. ( comes from either being a kid then teaching them my whole life!)
