I was sad to hear of the death of Colin Bloomfield, Radio Derby presenter/commentator who died at the very young age of 33 due to skin cancer.

I'm sure @super_ram will be able to tell us more about Colin.

Condolences to his family, friends and all Rams fans.

At what age, oh my! Skin Cancer is something normally affecting the elder generation... I dislike in the strongest terms that C word...

I cannot say I have ever heard of Colin having been in exile, but still, it is horrible and thoughts go out to his family and others who were close to him

Very sad to here this even though it was expected.

He was a great commentator with a great sense of humour.I probably remember him best forΒ  his coverage, along with Roger Davies, of The Rams 10 man victory over 'that lot'He was a Shrews fan and they had a minutes silence for him at their match yesterday.(I hope we do the same next week)Pleased the Shrews won promotion.Sally Pepper,of Radio Derby, ran in the London Marathon today to raise money for Colin's Melanoma appeal

SIMPSON PAYS RESPECT TO COLIN BLOOMFIELD .

Condolences to family and friends.Rest in peace 'Bloomers'

Yes there was an interview with Sally on radio 5 live this morning and a short piece about Colin, very sad.

I guess it would be like us Notts fans losing our own Colin (Slater)

Very sad news, especially considering the trouble he had with the abuse. Was that from Forest fans @super_ram? I can't remember what happened in details but I do recall hearing about.

Rest in Peace Colin.

I don't recall anything about him being abused but I know he wasn't very popular with the fans of a certain team that our 10 men beat.I vaguely remember something being said on the radio at the time.
