The first time I attended a game at Meadow Lane, Notts had a player sent off.Just for fun ,name that player.

No comment, I recall the story well and Grandfather's comment about it not being like him (to be dirty). So, I won't spoil it.

@tonyhateley should get it.

I remember we once had a player on loan from Derby who head butted an opponent in his first match for Notts. Derek Pavis promptly sent him back to Derby, it is rumoured that Mick Walker told Pavis in no uncertain terms that the said player should never have been signed and he never wanted him in the first place, shortly after Walker was sacked.

Trouble is I can't for the life of me remember the players name.....aaarghhh!

Probably wasn't him anyway.

Who is better than Tony Hateley?

Tommy Lawton wasn't ever sent off in his whole career.

Must have been 57/58 season if we were playing Derby, it's a bit before my time, only a bit mind you.

Have I got the right season, decade?

Hang on @super_ram, I've just had another thought, if we are talking about Tommy Lawton and he didn't PLAY was he sent to the stands as manager?

Well done @tonyhateley,you only have 11 players to choose from now as there were no subs back then.

You're brains working overtime now.I'll give you another clue-The Rams have a player with the same surname currently playing for them.
