On the official site Jordan Cranston has officially left the club.

Good luck for the future Jordan

Read about the departure here folks (click the picture).

No real surprise, yet I do feel it's a shame. He was never really given a chance with us, when we did play him, I felt he was unfairly nudged back onto the bench and I think he gave us a steady option in games. However, Ricardo knows best and I wish Cranston all the best moving forward.

In other news, supposedly Billy Daniels has also left the club.

I did wonder what had happened to him.

I thought Cranston was a good player, was defensive minded and had good defensive ability which you don't often see in modern full-backs. I thought he could've been a good asset this season but the new signings were always likely to push him down the pecking order, so his departure is the best option for both parties

I would happily have seen Cranston as our backup LB this year.  There was no way we should have farmed him out to Lincoln last year - we certainly didn't get a good deal there.

Decent player that needs game time and I'm sure will shine for someone at L2 level sooner or later.

I never saw cranston play apart from highlights, he seem okay. Good luck to him!

Where did he go?

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

I would have happily seen him as first choice! I reckon some league 2 club will see his ability soon, we have made 2 mistakes in letting him and Drissa Traore go

On the upside me and @notts-joe just saw two new recruits being shown the ground by chief scou...oppsss...Head of Recruitment Guy Branston.

No bloody idea who they were though!

@hissingdwarf I was thinking on the lines of mackail-smith [emoji14]

No, I don't think so. I will put my picture I took soon - adding PONs logo to stop vultures from pretending any weird scenarios. lol

I know it was a pre season friendly but if the manager wants to play Hollis at full back, and Cranston was available,  I think he - Cranston - had a clear message that his future lay elsewhere.

he was steady and the no thrills type of player, yet i did like when he would take on a player. he just seemed to lack confidence a little, as for me if he had a bit more of that with his play i think he would have replaced adams.

good luck to him!

Cranston will probably be one of those players who do very well elsewhere, I notice how Notts have said they will keep track on him. To translate that "Thanks for your time here, we wish no more than goodbye".

Drissa for sure, I am not so convinced by Cranston but he was a good player.
