Labadie returns to County

<!--url{0}-->Notts County have recalled midfielder Joss Labadie from his loan spell at League Two side Torquay.

Labadie, who joined the Magpies on a free transfer last summer after leaving Tranmere, moved to Plainmoor at the start of March but has been brought back from the League Two club after just under a month in Devon.

As part of the deal that took the 22-year-old midfielder to Torquay, the Magpies included a clause allowing them to recall the player at 24 hours' notice - an option that the club have now taken up.

Labadie scored four goals in seven appearances during his short spell with the Gulls.

He will now be available for Notts County's trip to Bournemouth on Saturday, with fellow midfielder Alan Judge due to start a two-match suspension.

That sounds like a great clause, but i bet Torquay wasn't expecting them to use it.

I planned to write this up as a main article but I struggled, I sort of had writers block! It would have been shorter than this, so I don't know but I would have let him continue the loan spell. We've got cover but Chris wanted him back, so lets see. I rate Joss, he was written previously before he started scoring regularly for Torquay. If we've recalled him, he can't have been loaned out to save money!

Hope Joss shines for us :)

Hope he didn't bring much stuff with him to Torquay! At least it wasn't too bad a drive from there to Bournemouth. I'm seriously thinking whether there really was any need to bring him back on such short notice bearing in mind we've got nothing else to play for and, if anything, could do with getting the youngsters like Tempest, Thompson and Wholey more experience? I'd have let him stay unless there were further injuries.

Exactly, though Chris might have thought Joss could impact the games. He clearly wants to win, i'd put this down to the reasoning personally. Greg Tempest came on right? I swear I've seen or heard comments about him looking sharp.

I bet Torquay were gutted, I think he was certainly doing a good job for them.

I imagine Chris has brought him back so that he can have a proper look at him in the remaining games.

Good point Tony .If he doesn't fit in with C K's plans he can be used for wheeling and dealing. If he does come into the plans then C K can concentrate on other areas.

It probably is that reason Tony. I would of thought leaving him at Torquay would be better as theres not many games left in the season.

Well if he was on the verge of being released and recalled because he did well, I think this does give the lad much chance improved chances. I believe our goal came from his cross on Saturday, so hopefully we give him a better chance because I personally don't think we need to gut the team, more a case of building around and making sure we have at least one striker who can score. Paddy Madden does, Football League show mentioned how a 31 or 33 year old non prolific striker gives lay offs and so.

All we need is to make sure the money is being wisely spent, I'd keep Joss. Who's Joss?

I for one will be annoyed if Labadie ends up getting released, We dont hold onto the players who often go on to have success elsewhere. Easily written off, yet he's come back and shown some character. I do not see him earning a great deal, leave him to improve with us. Should not have called him back either in my opinion, we have cover.
