FRANCOIS Zoko and Notts County have got shirty with each other.

The Ivorian forward was dropped from the Magpies' squad for their home league with Colchester United because he refused to cough up £40 to replace a shirt he gave away to a Notts fan after their last away game at Bournemouth.

I find it quite shocking, there's interesting comments to be read on Twitter. I find it amusing when people write there own version of stories and well, I find it in bad taste to include silly comments or lines about facts they know nothing about.

proves to me that NCFC are not a family club. The shirt he gave away may have made a fans day....and the club can't afford to stump the £40.... disgraceful

I'm not sure the person who wrote it looked into the story Vicky.

Notts County are widely regarded - by fans of other clubs as well as people in Nottingham, to be a real family club. I can't believe this story for a minute. The article is poorly written, there are no facts to back up the story other than that Zoko didnt play. It appears the 'journalist' found this rumour on a website and decided to write about it without checking the facts. Either that, or someones trying to fill column inches

Exactly, It's not hard to guess where this rumour emerged either.

I had heard at full time that Zoko drove off, I couldn't believe it and now there's people implying him and Neal Bishop are about to leave us at the end of the season. I'll have a look on Twitter, can you give me a link if possible Joe?

It does seem hard to believe, perhaps someone from the club should set the record straight, this sort of story could go national and will do the club a lot of harm.

Read Mrs Trews tweets, If I recall correctly she responded to the concerns.

I think the story is not exactly realistic... there are a few parts that could be believed but i think its abit like a general person seeing something ans spinning it into their own story to get more attention off it. I'm sure we would of seen something about it happening in the past if it was true.

It  would seem to me that someone is trying to make a mountain out of a molehill.and stir things up for Notts. The media are very good at mischief making. They release a story based on facts and add a few half truths. The public read the reports and people draw their own conclusions. Before long the original story has changed considerably., result-mountain.

It's certainly not the most thought-out article, though it's this sort of thing the club needs it's fans on side. It's aimed at causing disruption after we had one game where you couldn't fault with the players, they should have wrote about the idiots in the kop.

Did they do an article highlighting the Italian Magpies visit. I bet that if they did that it was only a passing reference.
