We've been out, had a meal with the family. Jake's been very excited about it for awhile, plus of course his presents. It's been a great day! I really enjoyed it and his face - just nice to be with the family. (including Super Ram) :rolleyes:

I told Jake about receiving all these wonderful messages, it meant a lot to him!

Kate made one of her lovely cakes, it used to be me who baked but now I have competition!! I think I am going to be outclassed, as you can see below.

Yes , a very nice evening. All the kids were very excited but (quite) well behaved. It is very nice when we can all to go out together especially to see the young ones enjoying themselves so much :)

Tell Jake he got another Happy Birthday message from Tony Hateley.

I love the cake, we'll done Kate, our 9 year old Grandson loves angry birds he wears an angry bird hat all the time. Lol.

Glad you all enjoyed your meal, it's great to get the family together round a table, chatting, eating good food and having some laughs.

We had a family meal at an Indian restaurant on Monday we weren't sure about taking 4 year old George but we asked him what he wanted expecting him to say chicken nuggets or something and he piped up that he wanted a Vegetable Bhuna with a garlic naan! I didn't know even think he'd know what a curry was. :biggrin:

I have trouble keeping up with what is each grandkids favourite as between them there are so many. Mind you I get there names mixed up


.You should see the face I get from Ellie when I call her Ava. Jake thinks it's amusing if I call him Harry but Harry tells me off and puts me in my place if I call him Jake.


 


Your grandson demonstrated brilliantly how kids can be quite amazing with the way they sometimes come out with comments you don't expect. :)

thats fab tony. my son is 3 and he can't get enough of chicken tikka....hes a good kid and loves trying new food. but whenever its curry for tea he always demands he has his nann and poppadoms too. little monkey

Happy Birthday to Jake (i wasn't on here yestaday). We all had a great day out and the kids certainly enjoyed it and i'm glad it didn't rain so they got to play out in the play area. He has been playing with all his toys today, especially the skylanders game.


He loved his cake and i'm glad he did. It is also big enough to give some to Super ram and maybe seconds to my mother in law ;)


I'm hoping i can improve and make Ava a cake she will love in july.

I had to laugh at Ava yesterday.She was happily walking around,  joining in with the playing, going from one relative to another and round again. That is until one of the waitresses arrived with some of our food..Suddenly she lost interest in everything else and made a bee line to the table where the first of the food was being served. It was really comical watching her expression as if to say 'out of my way,that's mine' :)

That is Ava for you... any food going around and shes there. It was funny how when i went outside with them and they were all following each other around. Ava climbed up the wooden rope climbing type steps easily but Harry tried to tell me he couldn't do it and i needed to help him... i told him he could do it and told him how(i'm sure he already knew, just wanted me to lift him up), he soon did it really easily but obviously needed help sliding down the pole. Jake and Ellie were trying to climb trees but i managed to distract Harry because i didn't think it was a great idea him trying to climb them. As for Ava she went around the climbing frame and was hiding behind the trees. It was a great evening out.

Theres not much cake left now Liam unfortunetly.


He likes any birthday belated or not.... he still thinks we've got presents hid for him.
