Has anyone heard of any pre season matches yet?

I did hear of a match at Eastwood was being considered but nothing official.

It's the only news I've heard. I was hoping to counter act the absence of football, with the enjoyment of some pre-season friendlies but I guess we'll have to wait to see what happens. It would be nice to play some Championship sides, see how our current squad can compete against such teams and of course some local matches would be nice.

Eastwood had put on their website that they had organised a friendly against us but that was later removed from the website. I'm sure some will be announced in due course.

Hopefully we get some announcements soon, but we'll have to wait and see who we will be playing.

I don't go on Notts MAD but apparently Ray Trew said on there that we hope to announce pre-season plans this week and some big teams will be visiting Meadow Lane.

Just not sure if he classes the likes of Hucknall Town or Ilkeston as 'big' :P

If (big if) doesn't happen, I hope he realizes how it will give them fuel for the fire.

Doesn't matter who we play really, could be teams in the same league but it is important we play some games. I was told about a friendly with a team in Iceland? I don't know, seems a great traveling opportunity but not for the majority of our fan base. (I don't see some of our elder fans traveling there)

Allegedly we had organised a game with a Finish side but nothing official was ever/has been said

Two pre-season games announced today, both very exciting.

We'll play Turkish side Galatasary on Tuesday 16th July, followed by La Liga side Rayo Vallencano on the Saturday. We will also face Steaua Bucharest in a behind closed doors game at St George's park.

There is also another friendly which will be at meadow lane to be announced soon, which will be the saturday before the season begins.

An exciting pre-season ahead, I'm pretty jelous of you lot in Nottingham who will be able to see this lol

I am not able to get down to those announced. One of them is on my youngest daughters second birthday so i wouldn't be able to get to that one anyway. I think Notts joe is planning on going to a few though.

One English team friendly, strange but it will be an interesting pre-season for all the notts fans that are going.

Ipswich will be a good test for us but we'll probably make about 10 substitutions as usual with these pre season friendlies just so the manager can try things out so the result won't be important.

Already missing Ava's birthday, though I will make the most of it before I go to watch us play in the Europa League. haha ;) I can dream, I'm already deluded supposedly. Least that's what my forest friends say :/

just noticed that the club are doing an offer on tickets for pre-season. If you buy tickets for both the Rayo Vallecano & Ipswich Town games, you get a discount on the Ipswich game.

Prices:

Season Ticket Holders

Adults £20

Seniors & 16-21 Â£12
Under 16s £2

Non Season Ticket Holders

Adults £25
Seniors & 16-21 £15
Under 16s £7

Seems like a pretty good deal from the club. Hopefully it'll help a few people who would not otherwise be able to attend one game or the other afford it now. Always nice to see offers done. Notts are good at doing these, and thats why I always get incredibly wound up when I see people saying that the club dosent care about its supporters!

I've been reading some discontented comments about the prices, yet I feel they offer good value.

I was expecting it to be a little more, so I pleased. I also read on Twitter, you can obtain a discount even if you don't purchase both tickets at the same time. This is good for me, especially if I do go. I booked first thing - great stuff from the club! £15 to watch a side like Ipswich who Chris, to my knowledge as good relations. I wonder if we could loan some of their fringe players but then again, I'd rather ask @Italian Magpies for Mr Tevez!

Even if I do dislike him.. :P
