MA must be a glutton for punishment. I know he had problems with the chairman at Barnet but does he honestly believe he won't have the same problems at Notts? In fact Barnet are a far better run club than Notts are at present and there's no sign of Nott's improving.Β

Β

well to be honest a lot of words going that he has been to meadow lane yesterday so not everyone can be wrong.

And maybe if we're offering him more then Barnet hel take thatΒ

Also last season was his fourth time in charge of BarnetΒ

I don't know what going to happen but even Barnet haven't denied any rumours or a statement of the situation either.

I missed this yesterday. I wonder if he is saying that Martin Allen and the Trews have patched it up in his second comment? Or am I reading too much into it? Martin Allen would be the perfect choice for the situation we're in. He knows how important team spirit and the feel-good factor is, and has already won promotion out of this division.

As for Warnock, I'm likelier to be the next Pope than he is to be our next manager. I'm unsure on Coleman, he's done an outstanding job at Stanley but flopped badly at Rochdale when he tried to replicate his methods there.

I would go for Coleman, despite his blotching of his copybook at Rochdale..... certainly for his scouting too, getting Windass from Harrogate... Gary Bowyer ex Blackburn with Craig Short as coach would be interesting

Barnet have just issued their retained list. MA made the decisions. A sign that he is staying at Barnet? The excitement......it's like Christmas morning.....

I'm not too sure, regardless of the manager the club has to release the list, I'm not so sure it would be all down to MA, he would have defiantly had a say though

Barents version of Leigh Curtis said because of the things MA has said he thinks its highly unlikely he would join us, however despite what this guy says I'm sure thats how it happened before, he left Barnet for us out of the blue

Martin Allen is currently 4/7 now I don't know much about betting or odds but that makes it seem pretty certain

Something that's worth thinking about is the fact Martin Allen is on a rolling contract with Barnet apparently which ends at the end of this month, the club said they are confident the new manager will he appointed by the end of this month ? Maybe they are waiting till his contract ends to announce it ?

fits the bill as we don't even want to pay Mansfield money we still owe them so we ain't going to pay compo.

But surely Barnet would look at it like this he has a week and 2 days surely they'd say forget compo you're contracts basically up.

it makes no sense for martin allen to leave somewhere steady to come here, its not like we have just dropped divisions. warnock coming is just another disillusion.Β

I wouldn't call Barnet steady we don't know what goes on behind the scenes there they may have money problems themselves.

Also they've just lost one of there better players to Barnsley etc and also a rolling contract isn't very secure in my view.

Not to mention it's nearly up an there's been no talk of his contract renewed it reminds me of Mark cooper all over.

Barnet waiting to long to secure him we come in say a 2year deal more money were do you go money.

Thats what I reckon is happening not saying it's right but Barnet haven't even commented on the rumours or speculationΒ

Barnet are not under a transfer embargo. Barnet finished above us in the table. They don't have ownership issues. Right now I'd rather be a Barnet supporter than a Notts supporter. That would change if we had a change of ownership or even a change in attitude by the current owners. Notts have massive potential. More than Barnet but it hasn't been tapped into.Β

they finshed above us yea but that wasn't hard we had 3 managers 2 that didn't have a clue about league 2 i jus feel if we get a manager who knows this league.

We will improve there's not a whole lot of teams with quality we just need a good proven manager who can get the best out of what he has.

surely it has to get better at some point I'm trying to stay positive if I canΒ

I think that now we have got rid of Pickle for Brains we will start to move in the right direction. There can surely be no doubt that an experienced manager is coming in who can set up his own scouting network and knows what he wants, because if that is not the case, we are well and truly in the mire.

Finally RT has probably got the message that this football club needs experience and no interference from above, just a half decent manager who knows what he is doing and reports directly to the Chief Exec.

I think once again it's just a waiting game, it seems that if we are going for Allen then we will have to wait till the end of the month at least but anyone else just wouldn't cut it

Gary Johnson is now at 10/1 from 25/1 yes I know there only odds but since we don't have any list of names to go by its a list for now.

I belive Itl be Allen or someone who's managed in league two still wouldn't mind Coleman or Sheridan if we could get themΒ

Posted

Just been told by a good friend who went to renew his ST that someone in the ticket office said Sheridan was at ML for about 2 hours yesterday, don't quote me on that but the person in the ticket office has family connections within the club so has no reason to lie, it is just word of mouth though so make of it what you will

Someone I know, who's also close to the club, told me that it was a dead cert that MA would be appointed.... the news that Sheridan has been interviewed, kinda puts that to bed.

Posted

Prefer Martin Allen personally has the credentials we need as a club now, would sort the playing side out and bring the club togetherΒ

Posted

Well we know what to expect from martin Allen and the fans will give him the time he needs, but Sheridan never stays anywhere too long but I would hope MA would want to try and make us a success and take us forward

no offence to anyone who has connections at the club contacts etc etc no one has a clue who it will be.

They could tell you Martin Allen and then employ Sheridan you don't know what goes on in there heads.

I mean Barnet are signing a lot of there players that are out of contract so Allen may be involed in that.

No one knows who it will be I mean people are saying on other boards they've been told by people it's hurst someone at the clubs told em etc.

Dont think any of us have a clue who Itl be were just having a guess so my guess is Itl be someone unexpectedΒ
