Aaron Collins loan

Good luck to the lad, he has commanded a fee so Wolves obviously see some potential in him. Was described by fans as quick, but a bit lightweight last season so hopefully he has beefed himself up a bit.

Clubs snap up players like this all the time, if he was as good as both Wolves and Burnley think - they would have loaned him out sooner or given him a chance.

I'm sorry, I know it's early but we have players of our own that could do the job and once again, we see a position which isn't the problem targetted. Our priority should have been defensive cover, I wouldn't be as against this however if the forward coming in had signs of a good pedigree.

However I will always say what does this send out to the fringe players who do not get a look in? Especially the youngsters we are trying to produce. I'm very disappointed because I worry that he will be like many other useless loans we have had - however I do wish him well. He needs to prove himself, yet I suspect after he features many will tell me Izale McLeod should have been given a chance (his departure should have seen better come in).

@notts-joe "...his departure should have seen better come in"... I think the financial realities are still affecting the players budget. Without actually saying it, JS hinted they were still trying to get one player out? Who that player is, was the big question. Maybe Hollis/ Hewitt but defensive cover may have been improved by Audel's form. Come January, position will be clearer but central defence is the one key area where we are short of real quality options

I was hoping for a more proven striker to come in and maybe a CB, but as mentioned above, reality probably means Notts couldn't afford it.

There's no reason why this lad can't be as good as a grealish or petrasso, petrasso wasn't proven when he came in and he was outstanding, he's young, he will be willing to work hard, Sheridan has been with him before so im willing to give him a chance

I have much more confidence in JS's judgement than ever under Brano's. Whether Petrasso has been injured at QPR, it seems strange that a player of that quality has had relatively little game time.

Agree with you @Piethagoram trust JS judgement , got him in to play him not for the ride so must think he has something to give , now the window is shut and no emergency loans to be had , its all about the squads , and not getting to many injuries and suspensions , think our squad should be strong compared to most in our division , COYP

Well what about the Ladbrokes deal? Did we go for broke last season?

If JS hinted at another signing, I do feel the budget could have been better spent - if Collins flops, it will only confirm this and I hope it's not.

@TheFostarr94 mentioned Hollis has requested a loan move, so we would require cover (even more so than we do now). The problem for me is we don#t seem to build around the weakness that we have seen for more seasons than I care to mention and we insist that strikers will solve our problems if they score - yet what happens if we concede? Central defence is paramount if we want to regain promotion back to League One. If we want a season of stability, so be it - yet we still need to form the foundations which will only make it easier next season.

Laing and Duffy are good but we lack good back up, I like audel alot but he does have mistakes in him

Maybe JS is confident of getting more out of some players over a longer time of working with them !! Time will tell guys , if we keep winning confidence will grow and we all know what that can do .
