For those with Magpie Player you can listen to live commentary on this afternoons friendly behind closed doors against Steaua Bucharest, I believe the kick off is 4pm.

I'll try to listen if I can, anyone in the chat room?

Proud to be a Notts County Supporter for over 60 years.

Promising signs, it feels like a trip to Europe and the pitch looks pretty decent too.

We've played pretty okay, our passing strains at times but it's to be expected. The defense is okay and the saves young Fabian's made have been good but basic, that doesn't take anything from him.

1-0 down early on, not bad going so far!

I'm trying to listen to the commentary but it is awful sound, I can't make out what they are saying, perhaps its my connection.

It's 2-0, I narrowly missed you in the chat Tony.

Final score 2-0.

We played okay, some very good signs. If a couple of mistakes hadn't been made, we might have drawn but I don't think you can judge this game. A team of their size and the fact we thrown players on and it's our first game, well you expect things not to be perfect. The signs which are good for me are the fact we played direct, we looked to break them and although they pinched the ball off us most of the time. Many of the league one teams we'll face won't be as good as them, so it might work out better.

At least we didn't stick to tearing down the flanks, the center of the park is a good area to use.

I watched the game on a stream provided, the chat room was full of complaints!

Friendly games for me do not mean much, I think it's good exercise. After the close season the players have to get ready to being back on the field and the result is a very respectable one. The new winger seemed okay, he ran but wanted to see more of him. Those who don't like Campbell-Ryce, well he looked our danger man and the players around him need to learn to support his quick movement. He also doesn't need to take everyone on but at least he tries to get forward!

Hollis seemed pretty okay, as did our 2nd keeper.

Starting 11: Spiess, Smith, Pearce, Leacock, Sheehan, Haworth, Labadie, Trialist, Melvin, Trialist, Nangle.

Second Half 11: Bialkowski, Trialist, Liddle, Hollis, Tempest, Campbell-Ryce, Trialist, Mahon, Trialist, Waite, Zoko.
