Slater replaced by Slater

Recommended Posts

Not sure if I've missed this elsewhere - nest season Colin Slater will be replaced on the airwaves by Charlie Slater, who was previously Mansfield correspondant on Radio Nottingham. What do you all think of this?

Personally I was hoping for the bloke who stood in for Colin recently - was it Andrew James? But Charlie Slater always seemed alright when doing his updates. It'll take a bit of getting used to though.

I thought it would be either David Jackson or Charlie Slater, either of those are good calls. Hopefully this will give us a bit more of a modern feel, though I would also like to see Colin Slater make the occasional guest appearances.

I'm sure Charlie will be able to lead Notts into the new era, he just needs to ensure he covers the game in an unbiased (the Forest people are) and I have listened to the Stag games in the past and felt that everything was seen through yellow and blue glasses. I would love to hear someone who just enjoyed the game. Yes they are doing the commentary for a local club but we don't need it dressing up or being called in our favour.
