2017-18 League Two fixtures

Featured Replies

So the EFL fixtures for 2017-18 have been released, and Notts have a pretty darn difficult start.

Coventry away, followed by Chesterfield at home (and between them an EFL Cup trip to Scunthorpe).

What do you think of the Notts fixtures then? Worried about the tricky start or reckon it might be better as it will cut out complacency?

And what fixtures are you looking forward to the most?

Let PON know!

I can't see why we are saying we have a difficult or an easy start, we all start on a level keel. Teams that came from Div 1 did so because they were poor for most of the season, and they will make changes. I'd say a difficult start if we fail to get points out of the first 6 games

Finally I will get to Grimsby away and it won't be the coldest place on earth! End of April by the seaside is fine by me. Other than that, I will miss the first two home games as I will be on holiday for one and it is the wife's birthday weekend for the other.

Christmas and Easter fixtures are particularly poor (Morecambe away, boxing day?!?!), but at least all of our potentially largest attendance draws (possible exception of Swindon) are on a Saturday.

Plus there are a couple of clashes with Forest fixtures.

There's a huge gap between us and some of these teams though, yet it gives us a chance to overcome the worst case scenario quite easily. Chesterfield isn't that bad, though they will be a big local game and we need to thrive in this environments.

Coventry City will walk this league in my opinion, they'll do better than Doncaster IMO and they are a very difficult game.

It's all about mentality at the end of the day, so I would rather get these games out the way but the fixtures see us face a run of games which I would fancy last seasons squad under Kevin Nolan to win. I'm not overly concerned about the start, though it will be a challenge.

A field where dreams become reality.

All the big games, it will be great to see the local fixtures help boost the attendances at Meadow Lane. Hardy did well when he came in to see the numbers sore up.

How stupid are the EFL? Clashes with Forest? That's supposed to be impossible isn't it?
