Maybe, though I do think come the end of the season most of the goals he gets will be from penalties.

I wouldn't say this was a bad thing either, as all goals help and at the end of the day we just need a way to find his form back. If he's still not match fit/or just last some of his ability I do honestly believe he will come good.

Stead has lost a yard of whatever pace he had left, his first touch and control is missing completely this season. No, I don't think he will score enough goals to get in double digits.

If he does, this will be the last season for him where he does tally up a good goal amount.

i voted at the start but i will wait for a few more replies before i give my answer.

It seems there's quite some doubt, I know a few seasons ago I thought he wouldn't but he did. Last season the injury he suffered really impacted his performances and he just hasn't seemed to improved since.

We really could do with a Jon Stead who can fire on all cylinders.

Voted Yes, the guy is still a quality striker, at present they are not playing to his strengths, he is not a target man. As season progresses believe with more wins and confidence growing we will play it more on the ground and this is whenI feel he is at his very best

Only with penalties and to be honest I can see him being replaced in January, so I don't think we will get a full season from him. It's trues that we aren't playing to his strengths, but those strengths have waned quite badly since his injury last season.

Been a very good and very eloquent servant to the club, but the end is nigh I feel.

Voted yes , think his ability will shine through , true pens may help , already have , but personally I think he will get a dozen or so , he'll go on a goal run soon .

so far the majority have voted for maybe, i wonder if any more votes can be cast to give more of a reflection?
