  2. What a kick in the balls that is ... https://www.mansfieldtown.net/news/2019/january/stags-sign-jorge-grant/

Roll call Yeovil v Notts are you making the journey

I was ... until Cambridge happened. Unfortunately I just haven't got the funds to constantly go every away game so it's now down to choosing a few of them. Stevenage, Crewe and Swindon are all a few I might save money for.

    New game ... who did/do I play for ?

Yaya Toure - Barcelona Jorge Grant

    Grant signs for Mansfield Town!

Glad for them that they're cracking on with the job in hand ... Promotion. Just devastated that Hardy will go down as the worst chairman in history as he look to ruin our clubs history.

    Jim O'Brien Signs!

New Stoke manager wants County’s Paul Hart

I have no issue with Paul Hart. Perhaps we all knew what was going to happen this year and PH was brought in to re-build the football at this club. He did well at Luton with Jones so I can see why he would be tempted from a move away from the club.

    My Prediction

    Current Points = 21 Remaining Fixtures: Cambridge (H) = 3 Yeovil (A) = 1 Newport (H) = 3 Lincoln (H) = 0 FGR (A) = 0 Mansfield (H) = 1 Tranmere (A) = 0 Port Vale (H) = 3 Cheltenham (A) = 1 Carlisle (A) = 0 Morecambe (H) = 3 Exeter (H) = 0 Stevenage (A) = 3 Northampton (H) = 1 Crewe (A) = 0 MKD (H) = 0 Crawley (A) = 3 Grimsby (H) = 3 Swindon (A) = 0 Total Points = 46 points All predictions based on current form and other teams home/away form. This is scary people that we might even fall short of the 50 pts mark which would mean relying on other teams around us dropping points. I have had the next two games as 4 points but if we lose both games or can't get at least 4 points then we can consider our relegation imminent.

Can we welcome our new member, Andrew McIntosh

  10. samwatto2008

    My Prediction

9 pts from the next three games is very hopeful. Think a few of those draws will be losses though unfortunately.

    Colchester United 3 - 3 Notts County

A game of goals. Poor defence from both sides resulted in a 3-3 draw away at Colchester. While most fans would have taken a point at the start of the game ... they would not in the fashion of how the game panned out. Szmodics gave The U's the lead after just 8 minutes but then Notts went through the gears and hit 3 past the sorry home team. But in typical Notts fashion nothing is ever easy so we concede late in the first half and then what seemingly is a dive concede a penalty which was 100% going in before the ball was even kicked. A good away point and with some results going our way it means next weeks game against Cambridge and the following week at Yeovil is 6 points we must take.

Would you give Jamie Turley a new deal?

2 year deal for me. If which is possible right now we go down to the National League he is exactly what we need at that level. I hope recruitment can see that and prepare for the worst. Not get stuck up their arses and keep saying were too good to go down as that isn't true.

    Steady hits fifty

Cracking player throughout his career. What a man! Hope he can help us get out this mess!
  14. samwatto2008

Can we take 6 points from our next two games.?

It's not a case of can we. It's a case of we have got to. If not the gap will get bigger and bigger and you'll see us down by the end of Feb.
  15. Well done lads nice short piece to listen too! Great job.

Roll call .. who making the trip to Notts v Colchester

Was going to go but it's just too much money as me and my dad would drive and the petrol cost is too much. Sorry Notts I have let you down this time.
  18. The defence played bloody fantastic against Bury and looked solid. Brisley , Duffy and Bird as a back three often rewarded each other for their work giving each other hand shakes and pats on the back ... little things can really boost a players morale. But at any moment when Bury went on the attack thought that Fitzsimmons would fluff the game and loose it for us? I did. We need a keeper in January full stop. Numerous times he should have come to collect the ball and didn't. The defence don't trust him. I am sure he's a cracking lad but there is so many mistakes in his game that need development and we need someone with experience to rely on before it's too late. Been saying this since he took the No. 1 shirt and to be fair some of it is not all his fault but if we had conceded you couldn't have blamed the defence yesterday as they were absolutely faultless.

Notts v Bury .. Any positives

Positives: Pierce Bird debut and MOTM , Vaughan excellent , Kellett showed what we have been missing with the absence of Boldewjin and Alessandra, CLEAN SHEET! , Negatives: No goal scored , Fitz still looks weak.

    Match Discussion: Game 26 - Latics (A)

Lineup: Exactly the same against Bury. Oldham come back after a 4-1 win I believe so there spirits will be high. However so will ours. If Duffy remains in the side then I would suggest dropping Stead for Hemmings. Hemmings and Dennis could cause some real issues and playing as a pair up top is the strike force everyone wants to see. I hope the Bury performance is a turn around in our fortunes and we can grab a win here. If not then at least a draw or a clean sheet. Just something other than a loss so than we can have something to carry through into the Colchester and Cambridge games.

Man of the Match: Notts County 0-0 Bury

The same three names doing the rounds stood out for me too. David Vaughan, Pierce Bird and Andy Kellett all played fantastic and funny how the three names were talking about were never in Kewell's plans. Kewell was a poison to this club and could ruin our season. However aside that I was so impressed with these particular three and hope they can continue their form into Oldham.
  22. I am sure most of you have different plans for Christmas Day. What will everybody be doing this Christmas? How are you going to plan your day and where will you be eating Christmas dinner
  23. samwatto2008

    Keston Davies

Might as well keep him as a squad depth player. But he is young and I actually thought his actions in this match showed he cared. He deserves a red but I don't think we should send him back. He does OK but like others have said woeful first touch and first touch is everything in football.
