Vale v Notts Ratings

Lucky to even get a point, no shock that when a bit of luck goes our way, we still manage to **** it up.

Fitz - 7 - Can't fault him for anything, collected the balls he should, couple of good saves, solid.

Toots - 2 - Can we have the Toots of last season back please? Backs so far off his man it's practically a free cross. Thing is, if he gets closer, he gets skinned and allows the man to waltz into the penalty area.

Turley - 10 - Only one actually defending, and he did it well, maybe he can share it with the rest of the morons alongside him. Head it, kick it, tackle. Well done.

Ward - 3 - Did the basics of head it right, but then some frankly strange decision making and lazy defending.

Evina - 2 - Someone could have told him we were playing in blue?! Couldn't pass to anyone of his fellow team-mates, also made strange decisions like Ward.

Enzo - 5 - Would have given him 7 for the first half  and a 3 for the second. It averages to 5.

Hewitt - 5 - Largely bypassed by the direct Vale, but when on the ball was OK.

Milsom - 2 - Looked like bambi on ice trying to play football. Gave the ball away so many times in the center of the field. Even tripped over the ball at one point. Shambolic display, got away with it.

Hemmings - 6 - Thought he was decent and got into some dangerous positions, always a threat but sometimes last bit of quality missing. Did his bit defending.

Dennis - 3 - Hardly noticeable. Didn't get much service, didn't get himself into the game either.

Subs:
Etete - 6 - Put himself about, bit gangly and some bad touches but got himself into the game in 2 minutes when Dennis couldn't in 70.

Duffy & Bris - N/A

Vale's finishing - 10 - Could and probably should have been 5-2. Thanks for that Vale.

Fitzsimons 6 - An outstanding save in the second half and commanded his area yet again

Tootle 4 - At fault for first goal and slightly at fault for the second. Still looks overweight and looks short of confidence.

Ward 6 - Calm as a cucumber at some moments and scored. Good finish for a CB. Battled well but laps in concentration sometimes

Turley 5 - Stuck his body on the line again but second goal he peels off Pope. If he stays where he is, Notts win 2-1.

Evina 5 - Looked steady again but needs to work on his link up play with KH.

Hewitt 1 - Like a shopping trolley with no wheels. Spent most of the game having a picnic.

Milsom 4 - Put a good corner in for the second goal but teams steam through our midfield too easily. Lacks presence.

Boldewijn 7 - Always looks a threat and some brilliance helped us score our opening goal. Had Mitchell Clark on toast all afternoon.

Alessandra 2 - Missing. If you can find him, that would be of great help. Needs to stop picking and choosing the games he wants to turn up in.

Hemmings 8 - Tries. Tries. Tries. Scored as well. He wants to make things work and you can tell. The bloke cares an awful lot.

Dennis 5 - Fed scraps, got no service and sometimes used as a target man. What's the point in playing him when we don't cater to his strengths.

Subs

Brisley 3 - Missing for the equaliser. Couldn't really see where he was sometimes because we went to a 6-3-1 formation late on.

Duffy - N/A

Etete 4 - Held the ball up well when needed too. Definitely a target man

Kewell 3 - 4 defenders on the bench but we want to play attacking football. Starting to think 4-2-3-1 is not it. 4-4-2 is

I didn’t listen to the game i fell asleep .. but it’s intreating to see what scores are being given. A few more would definitely give a clear understanding.

I can't really give any scores, I only listened on the radio, I think you've got to be there in person to get a true picture of how individuals played.

I think it’s pointless giving my assessment.

We are all Notts fans and the variation in the assessments from one fan to another just shows what a fickle bunch we are. It proves what an impossible job Hardy and Kewell have in keeping fans satisfied.
