Fa cup Out at the first round .. good or bad thing ?

Featured Replies

So County are of the fa cup at the first round with our league position that could be a blessing in disguise.

But right now I can’t help but thinking what we have lost by going out at the first round.

1- The financial side to things gettting to round four last season would have been worth a million or two on gate fees especially if we brought them to meadow lane for a replay. which all hopefully goes back in to the club for wages and other expenses which we could do with.

2- May seem daft but Notts did some fan events one watching the fa cup draw with the players and managers etc it was a good night to meet other fans and actually share some positives.

3- Drawing a good team in the third round maybe Man City or united away or Chelsea which would be a great matchday even more if it was a home tie.

I know right now our league status is on the line and maybe the first round elimination is for the best.

It's a bad thing but hopefully a blessing in disguise.

I don't think the focus on a good cup run would have been a good thing considering the league, yes winning helps but at the end of the day we need to focus on the league status without distractions. I'm by no means happy but neither am I disappointed.
