  • Until you know someone who has been effected by the virus, just avoid listening to the UK media. They're notoriously known for being scaremongers.

How is this acceptable?

A week ago Germany had 10,000 daily infections for the first time. Now we've got 19,000 and are on course to overtake the UK next week thanks to our complacent politicians.

During "lockdown" next month, schools will still be open and non-essential workers (myself included) will still be forced to take public transport to their offices every day. It's a joke.

Covid-19 is a very complex and unprecedented problem, and even Einstein would struggle to get all the answers right.  That still doesn't excuse a government who have got nearly all the answers wrong.  This crisis has shown Boris Johnson up for what he is - an incompetent bull sh!tter.  He won an election by clenching his fist and repeating "We will get Brexit Done" many times.  It convinced many voters.  We probably will get Brexit done, but at what cost to the average working family?  Now with regard to coronavirus he clenches his fist and repeatedly says "Together, we will beat this".  Again, we probably will one day, but at a massive cost to those who have lost their lives prematurely due to government incompetence.  When Boris Johnson and his cronies are finally consigned to history, their epitaph should read "Too little, too late".

I just hope the USA gives us a glimmer of hope for our kid's future by binning Trump tomorrow.

Opening schools and keeping them open is 100% the right thing to do, regardless of transmission. A lot of children need the routine and structure of school to aid their development and for some children, it is the only place they can feel safe.

@Fozzy I don't agree.

Years 10 and, 11 are vital to keep open as they're preparing for exams.

Years 9 and below are not important, these run the risk of seeing the virus spread. What is a much bigger issue is college, it's worthless and, it can easily be paused. Uni another area that should be closed, students should be sent home - instead of being allowed to act very immature during a national crisis.

I do not agree with them being fenced into their accommodation, yet at the same time - I feel if they abided by the guidelines it wouldn't happen.

They wanted the UK to know that they're not to blame, well, they're.

Uni students are to blame for the spike in areas which have seen a large increase, the stats released show this, once Uni's allowed them to travel cities which was managing like Nottingham immediately increased. it's just reckless!
