Calls for Southgate to be sacked on the basis of 4 points from 2 games in the Nations League (which are little more than friendlies) and two years on from a World Cup semi-final are more than a little premature. It's perfectly normal to experiment with younger players too, and there are a lot of new faces in there compared to the World Cup. In games like that, the team'll look disjointed and it probably won't be pretty, but all will be forgiven if they gel and do the business when it really counts. Let the man do his job.

Shame Grealish didn't get a go though.

I keep seeing things about Grealish having been capped? If he didn't play, when did this happen? I don't think Gareth Southgate deserves to be called for his sacking, he's doing a good job. It takes time and there will be setbacks.

Thing about England is they never really show their class when favoured.

I haven't kept up-to-date, but I have limited interest right now in international football.

England haven't taken friendlies or anything other than the major tournaments for years.

Truth be said as a national team, England aren't a good team.

overrated and over payed, playing for your nation means little to some of those that take it for granted.

I think England have good Individual players but not a great team overall. Likes of Germany France Spain etc rotate their call ups and give chances where as we stick to the same good players that we have because we can't bring players up to the standards like other nations do.
