Slocombe 6 Just caught out of position but generally a safe pair of hands

brindley 4 Defensively OK but offers nothing going forward

Rawlinson 5.5 A moment of sloppy play put us under pressure but generally defensive work good

Turner 6 Much improved, some strong defensive headers

DKE 6 A yellow card for the team, but everything Notts built came down his channel

Doyle 6 Dictating play where he could

Reeves 5 Much quieter and less influential... Perhaps have to sit in a holding role

Enzio 7 Enzio closing down for the 3rd goal, unheard of. Great finish for the first

Rodrigues 8 Someone on Twitter described as Masson like influence. If only he had a more powerful shot.

Sam 8.5 Class goal and ability to hit some great passes.

Wootton 6.5 effort yes, but unrewarded.

JOB 4 Too loose in passing

Slocombe 6 Should have come out for their chance in the first half, but made up for it with the save. Flapped a bit at a cross in the second, but apart from that, a pretty quiet night for him.

Brindley 6 Good defensively. Got into good positions at times going forward but seems very hesitant with his decision making. Often think, 'cross it first time', only for him to take a couple of touches and we lose the momentum.

Rawlinson 7 Solid.

Turner 8 Won everything.

DKE 7 A real terrier defensively, took the yellow selflessly and defended well throughout. Going forward he lacks quality, though he is not in his natural position.

Doyle 6.5 Him and Reeves mopped up any loose balls and initiated the starts to Notts' build up.

Reeves 6.5 See Doyle

Enzio 7.5 Welcome back to Notts County, Enzio! Tell your twin brother to stay at home from now on.

Rodrigues 8 Fantastic player and a lot of our creativity came through him. Some simply sublime passing. If he could inject a bit more power into his shots, he would get a lot of goals too. Visibly tired at 70 min mark.

Sam 8.5 *MOM Will hold my hand up about being wrong about him. He looks class and is improving week on week. Some great touches, awareness and even defensive responsibility. Well played.

Wootton 7 Finally the Wootton are used to is back again. Linked play up excellently in the first half, until they worked that out a bit and made his job harder. Unselfish pass to the youngster for the third.

JOB 5 Loses the ball in key areas too much, but then does a split second turn or touch that nobody else saw to set up something promising offensively. Still not convinced that JOB is the answer to the question of defensive stability that Ardley seems to think he is - he can't defend.

Knowles 6 Some will say he can't miss, but you have to be in those positions in the first place and Knowles was.

Ardley 10 Right tactics, right team selection, right performance, right result. Top marks.

Keep them coming please, Jake didn't want to watch the stream and, I decided to use the time to relax. Not surprised to learn Notts was winning, well I was when I got told the score was 3-0. Plus who Jake informed me had scored, in a good way of course.

Been told by a few friends that Enzio had his best match tonight in Notts colours, plus Sam would get their MOM.

slocombe 6 - did well for what he was called upon but just a calm influence at the back.

brindley 5 - left space at times, not so good going forward like we know he can be but defensively acceptable.

rawlinson 7 - steady performance and did well.

turner 8 - dealt with everything and he shown he can do well.

kelly-evans 7 - good player who gives his all, a lot energy and good work.

doyle 6 - did the most part well.

reeves 7 - played well, got the ball and used it well. shown a lot of forward thinking.

enzio 8 - one of his best performances for notts, if not the best.

rodrigues 8 - cracking player who does a lot of the ugly work that goes unnoticed. also does a lot of positive things.

sam 9 - solid and a handful, simply a great performance by him.

wootton 6 - he did well, worked hard but i dont think he was at his best.

Slocombe 6 - For Wealdstone's chance in the first half he didn't make it back to the goal quickly enough for my liking. Otherwise, largely a spectator.

Brindley 6 - As others have said, sound defensively but offered little in attack. Runs often end in him stopping and passing it backwards or sideways.

Rawlinson 6 - One wobbly moment, but otherwise sound.

Turner 7 - Uncompromising, won everything.

DKE 7 - Always busy, always asking questions of the opposition down the left, even if not everything came off. Lulls the opposition into a false sense of security by looking like a mascot.

Doyle 6 - The formation suits him, we benefitted from his anticipation and experience without being overrun. Couple of sloppy passes though.

Reeves 7 - Cleans up, keeps it simple.

Enzio 8 - Good, hard-working performance. More of this please!

Rodrigues 8 - Looks a brilliant find: mobile, creative and a complete pain in the backside for the opposition. Tired towards the end.

Sam 8.5 - Fantastic performance, looks a completely different player to the human daddy long-legs who stumbled over the pitch a couple of months ago. Excellent close control meant he just sort of glided past the opposition's defenders time and again, and capped off his performance with a brilliant goal. Could improve his crossing, but that's just nit-picking.

Wootton  7 - Had a hand in two of the goals, including the unselfish pass to set up the third and kill the game off. Denied by a spectacular save in the first half. Not quite as eye-catching as the other forwards, but did his job well.

Subs:

JOB 5 - A bit slack with his passing at times.

Knowles N/A - Came on, took his goal well, went back into the dressing room five minutes later.

Ardley 9 - Despite us beating Chesterfield, he recognised that we couldn't carry on in the same vein, and so we adopted a new formation. Each player knew exactly what his job was and, as a result, we were on top from start to finish.

Slocombe 6 - Had a wobbly moment for their only first half opportunity. Other than that, had an ok evening

Brindley 6 - Was fine virtually all evening with the only hiccup being the one Wealdstone chance in the first half which was more Slocombe's fault anyway

Rawlinson 7 - Comfortable and solid. Like the Rawlo of last season

Turner 8 - Won everything and didn't give a chance. Good distribution and use with the ball at his feet

DKE 7 - Apart from the yellow card he received, he once was again tenacious and energetic

Reeves 7 - Bag of energy from the off. Just ran and ran. Won the ball many times in midfield and linked the play nicely

Doyle 7 - Was impressed by his ability to release the ball quickly to other players once he received it. That really helped our tempo

Sam 9 - Truly excellent goal. Linked up the play well and has some great control. Technique for a big man is brill.

Rodri 8 - Carries the ball so graciously and has a right foot that could unlock Fort Knox

Boldewijn 8 - Superb pressing and a well taken finish. That's the Enzio I know

Wootton 7 - Link up play with others, especially Rodri, was excellent

O'Brien 5 - Some passes went astray but gave us the energy in midfield to see the game through

Knowles 6 - A poacher's finish. Could become very handy off the bench throughout the season

This is our best formation. It's this and the 4-4-2 throughout now. Ditch 4-3-3 unless you're playing Rodri as part of the midfield 3 (at which point you may as well play 4-2-3-1) and the strikers (Thomas, Knowles, Sam) as pressing wingers. Keep this level of performance up and push on. This is the standard we know this team can play at. Superb from all involved. Very nice victory

4-2-3-1 is the way to go though playing at home, it's always open to the criticism that 1 up front is negative. Far from it. Thought the interplay and movement in the first 30 minutes, that Ricardo had secretly come in as Director of Football
